Maple Story 3D and Maple Story 2. Does not seem like a hoax.

Spadow found it. This not that old rumor about Maple Story 2 that turned out to be some other game. This was posted on October 24, 2008 (Korean time, though) so it is pretty much brand new.

<프로젝트 별>은 초기에 <프로젝트 NB>로 불렸으며, 게임과 웹을 결합한 독특한 방식으로 만들어지고 있다. <세컨드 라이프> <누리엔> 같은 SNS(소셜 네트워크 서비스에 게임을 접목시킨 프로젝트로 2007년부터 개발이 시작됐다. 그래픽은 3D로 구현되고 있다.
<Project Star> was known as <Project NB> in the beginning, and is being created in an original method of combining the game and the web. I HOPE they leave the 2d maple... the 2D platform kind is what made me like the game.

But a Mario 64 kind of platformer part could be interesting...

I'd rather see a MapleStory HD than this if they're going to go for a from-the-ground-up recreation.

And no, not just because 800x600 is terrible resolution. Also because the way they handle graphics is pretty inefficient and I'd love to see how they would handle it with additional fidelity.

Hey, we don't know what the deal is with MapleStory 2. That could be what it is. Not being able to break out of 800 by 600 is pretty annoying these days.

They will continue develop new stuff. Hence why there is a new team available for MS2.

If the platforming carries over, then I'm smelling one ns game. Interested in combat and whatnot, though.

SugarRush was an American developed game if im thinking right. They had a survey after the beta asking what kind of features we would like to see added to the game.

They're making a sequel to a game that still hasn't even come out of Open Beta (IN NORTH AMERICA!!!!!!!!
) , so I think we can take this as an official word that KartRider NA has been killed off.

I'm still waiting for a sneek peek.

By the way, I'm afraid that Nexon might use the 3D thing as a gimmick.

Take Fracture for example. It's a clone of every other 3rd person shooter, except with the gimmick of making landforms, which they don't even utilize very well. I hope Nexon doesn't take that road with MapleStory 3D.
