So I won't be cubing any time soon and that depresses me.
Then why don't you just buy nx items from someone like a lot of people do?

That is under the assumption that the person in charge is telling her to tell the truth as he/she believes it. Big assumption there.

How come you got me twice with your signature!?!?!
I haven't used MTS in such a long time, I'm used to the old school merch and set up shop. I have a few items stored in there but thats about it.

To quite the contrary, I'm inclined to believe that any company's public PR doesn't get decided on by any one individual, much less likely Hime. It's not her fault to believe that what she's directed to say is what she should say, it is her fault for taking it for granted that those things are true and take her stance in the matter accordingly (yet, as we all know, inappropriately). When she expresses ideas on her own accord, this shows.
The difference between a conducted PR action and that of her own? It's the difference between making an official thread and maintaining that thread.
Unless, of course, she was strictly instructed to say only the things that would come off to everyone as absolute truth from the company, then there's not much to do there.

I think the combination of the bolded parts is probably closer to the truth. She's shown her rather limited knowledge of this game - so the idea that she takes what she's been told for granted is probably true. You would think that, as a PR, she should/would take things into her own hands and find out what's really true and act accordingly...but if she is to keep her job and maintain "peace," she would have to assert a certain public credibility/confidence face for the company itself based on certain strict rules. If that is the case, then what's the point in finding out the truth for herself? She wouldn't really be allowed to act on it...
I've been around since 2005...and I've seen Hime's posts from when Nexon forums first started (she even perma-banned me from the forums). They've certainly changed over the years to be more light-hearted and seem more welcoming, but the same strict tell-what-we-want-them-to-believe feeling is still there.

Hime is just an employee that says what they tell her to say. Do you guys actually believe she would make an statement in the name of the company without her supervisors approving?
Still, I'm angry that Nexon didn't took action the second they knew about this. And even worse, they tell us is safe to use it? For a second there I believe they released it themselves to make people buy nexon and avoid mts. First thing Nexon does as a company that actually angers me as a costumer.

I still don't see reason for masshystery, unless there's a realistic, easy and fast way to crack pw+pic or email+mail pw, that I'm unaware of.
Because if there is, I find it a way bigger security concern than this mts hack.

There isn't (one public). If one exists, it's extremely private.

Just an update, apparently a list of 18,000+ user ID's was just released on a site for about 5 minutes before being deleted.

What's the big deal about a login ID? Mine have been on those lists from the 09 nexon database leak (that nexon never admitted to). So if there was a way to break into an account with only the ID then I should have lost some accounts by now. o.o

It's the fact that Nexon stresses so hard about not sharing account infos. When someone gets hacked they insist that it's your fault for letting your info get out, yet now thousands and thousands of ID's just got out because of their faulty protection.

The ID is the least secret of your account info, anywhere.
When they stress not to "share" it they mean the actual password, PIC and PIN.
It's not having what you want - It's wanting what you've got.

There was at least a PIC bypass at some point. When a GM in scania accidentally smega'ed his login/pass, Ecko was on the GM char within minutes.
And I'm pretty sure he exclaimed that he can get into anyone's account given just the login. But I guess that's just hearsay.

Last I heard they need login and password or e-mail (access not just the address, but if you make a stupid pw then luz). If they have your login ID and they don't know your e-mail or password, then you should be fine (afaik).
