Again, until somone tried summoning someone who died from the death god seal, nobody, not the 3rd and not orochimaru would know it would fail. The third hokage didn't know that the method of death meant hte 4th couldn't be summoned, and neither did orochimaru. Considering the 4th hokage was the only person to have died in that manner at that point in time, nobody could have possibly known what would happen.



It blatantly shows the scene where oro summoned the first and 2nds in that same panel that it says the 4th couldn't be summoned. Are you seriously arguing that wasn't what he tried to summon?

Talk to me when you read the page you posted again. See how both sentences said by Kabuto have other realtion, not the one. Just because an image follow that statement, doesn't mean the image is related. Read it again, and you'll see.

I forgot we are talking about a manga.

If you find a source that proves that orochimaru attempted summoning the 4th prior to that fight, do show us. Else that's your own homemade version, i'll be sticking with canon. He tried to summon the 4th and failed due to the soul being sealed away, IIRC the 4th tomb even said "4th" or so.
there's even a picture of the FIGHT WITH THE THIRD on the page you were linked to. What time would he else be talking about?..

THe third DID NOT KNOW that the summoning would fail. Nobody used Edo Tensei since the 2nd hokage died. No-one used Demon God seal until the 4th hokage used it. Therefore, no-one had ever tried summoning a person from the demon gods belly, and so once again NO-ONE, not Orochimaru, Not Kabuto, Not The third Hokage, would be aware of what would happen until after trying it.

You never see the 3rd coffin that would have appeared in the manga. How hard would it be for the 3rd hokage to assume that oro would summon all 3 previous hokages, especially after the third sees the first two coffins that they were buried in, complete with incscriptions showing who was in them? (The coffins had 1st and 2nd written on them respectively)

LOL, I don't know about anime seasons, but Naruto Shippuden has gone through a lot of Arcs in the manga already, and has material to keep it going for a long time.

Although you keep bringing up the point that this was the first time that someone with a sealed soul was tried to be summoned, I still feel that the 3rd and Orochimaru should have been able to realize/understand that they could not summon someone who is sealed away. If they didn't understand this, then what is the point of sealing people away? Orochimaru knew of different ways to seal people (for example, him searching for that sealing sword that itachi had) and I doubt that a shinobi of his caliber would make sure a rookie mistake as to waste his 3rd summoning on something that could not be summoned anyways. If it was simply the 4th in there, then the 3rd's reaction and everything that happened in that chapter seems out of place to me. Since the 4th can't be summoned, wouldn't the coffin not even rise from the ground? I can't find a point in Orochimaru summoning an empty coffin to the battle field...

Guys.... don't you all see the kyuubi mode like chakra coming from the hand creating the rasengan? It's obvious that it's Naruto or a clone of Naruto he made earlier.

Neither Orochimaru nor, the 3rd knew about the fact that those in the Death God's belly can't be summoned as those souls are in the pure world. Kabuto's version of Edo Tensei is far more advanced than Orochimaru. For all we know Orochimaru could have succeeded in summoning the body, but never actually put the body to use, either that or it wasn't the 4th at all. Kabuto obviously tried to summon a bunch of people and figured out the restrictions on the technique.

As for the person using Rasengan it could be:
Naruto (probably)
Edo Tensei Kushina (maybe)
Obito or Rin (highly unlikely)
Konohamaru (maybe)

All the other people who could use Rasengan are either dead, sealed, or somewhere else.

1. It's not Naruto. Naruto is nowhere near where everyone else is. Even his super fast speed couldn't have gotten him that far that quickly.
2. Not Kushina. She's sealed with Minato. And even if she isn't, I don't think she ever learned this technique.

As far as I can see it, the other person who it could be would be Konohamaru or Kakashi, but why Rasengan when he has Chidori/Sharingan?

I said Obito and Rin because they were taught by Minato, and since Kushina was Minato's wife, I wouldn't be surprised if she knew how to do it too.

There's definitely some kind of chakra going on there and it might be Naruto's... but somehow I don't think so.

I thought bringing Itachi back in general was damn clever.

It was needed, he was one of the top strongest people EVER and he barely got any spotlight besides flashbacks and weak fights.

Can someone clarify how exactly the Crow made Itachi free from Edo Tensei? I thought it was him masking a genjutsu over it which I would think, like Jinn, that would be how he'd stop Edo Tensei.

Or by using the Sword of Tonkin. Holy pomegranate lol he easily came in and took Nagato out in an instant, and the two best Jinchurikee were bitching and had a tought time...I'm such a fan.

I think the crow had a special sharingan that could use that super illusion jutsu (that danzo used on sasuke). The difference with it being that it has a 10 year cooldown instead of closing forever.
