It was getting really bad. It had gotten so I could not get through a normal zak solo unless I did it on a clean reboot with absolutely nothing running but Maple, I switched graphics quality at every body change, and even then Zak would go invisible at second body and most of my dialog boxes would be invisible as well by the end of the run (15-20 minutes).
If I didn't take all those precautions I'd just d/c during the run.
And if other people came along and used their skills, it was worse.
Same thing for HT and VL.
But recently, maybe after the CTF patch, I noticed Zak wasn't going invisible anymore. So I have slowly been experimenting with dropping some precautions, and lo and behold, I no longer need any of them. Can just play like a normal person, the way I haven't been able to in a long long time. Get scary lag spikes at Zak when a skill or mob first appears, but no transparent mobs or windows, and no disconnects. Von Leon also works fine. Haven't had a chance to HT in a while (damn glitch).
MS still does disconnect randomly, especially if I spend any length of time at LHC, so not all is perfect, but...
TL; DR: I'm no longer getting graphic glitches at bosses on Windows XP. How about you?
