10 Important and complex questions about the potential system & skills!

Im a player from msea and i have a few important questions about the potential system:

1. I read somewhere here that lvl 120 above eq will be nerfed to 9 6 6 (same as those lvl 71-120), but does this affect only newly cubed/dropped eq?
Eg. i have a lvl 130 auf haven, if its stat now is 28% luk, after the patch, will it
a. auto chged to 21% luk
b. only will chg to 9 6 6 if i recube it
c. only newly dropped auf will be affected
Also, when will the patch be? after chaos? tell me what is right before and after the patch if possible.

2. There seem to be a lot equipment with set bonus, for those set bonus with like 30% boss dmg, ignore boss def, will it stack with that of in potential stat? Eg. a set bonus of 30% boss dmg, together with ur weapon potential of 30% boss dmg, does it give u 60%, or 130% of 30% (39%) or still 30% (dont stack)?

3. After chaos patch, dual blade will have its dag/kata system reworked and the weapons will combine to give same dmg? Then what about the potential stat on the dag and kata? eg. 30% boss on kata and dag will give 60%? or they wont stack? if it doesnt stack, does it mean the best thing to do would be to get 1 to 30% boss, while other to 30% ignore def?

4. For the potential system, is it possible to use of any type of program to know the potential stat before u reveal it? Also is the potential stat of an item determined (fixed) the moment u drop it, or only after u potential it, or only at the moment that u reveal it? Is there any pattern to the way u get rare/epic/uniq, 2liner/3liner on ur first revealing? eg. does the pattern repeats after u reveal several potentials?

5. I have heard of an upgraded potential system coming (unique to legend?), is it true? if possible please give me the url to information about it. (ansed--credits to Netto for the link and Fiel for the extration)

6. I have seen many new and high lvl equipments coming out, but there doesn't seem to have any new thief top/btm? Will it be more worth to use those higher lvl thief overall (better stat and set bonus) or stick with the old thief top/btm (for its extra slot for potential stat)?

7. Is it true that it is much easier to get a 2liner item from rare to unique than a 3liner item? Is there concrete evidence/strong statistics proving that? And if thats the case, does it mean if u just want to get a sharp eye mule glove, its better to go with 2liner?

Do they stack after bbp? and what do they mean by "Max/min" critical dmg?

9. Holy shield: the skill description seems to be same before and after bbp (Temporarily protects all party members from abnormal conditions), however they seems to work differently now.
Before bbp, holyshield blocks seal,curse,weaken,etc but do not block seduce, pot lock and zombify.
After bbp, it seems to behave strangely in that it sometimes block everything but sometimes block nothing? any1 know how exactly does it work after bbp?

10. Most bosses (except pb) has a 50% def now, does that mean all these bosses have same def? (i.e. u will hit same dmg on them). And how does the 50% def works? suppose u deal 100k dmg, it reduces to 50k? Then how will threaten increase that dmg?
Threaten: Enemy Defense -30% <does that mean it decrease the boss's def from 50% to 20% (i.e. 50k dmg to 80k) or 30% of the 50%;15% (50k dmg to 65k)?
Also, the advanced dark aura (battlemage) gives 20% extra dmg. How would this work? from 50k dmg to 60k dmg?

I have tried google the above questions but there is little/contradicting information regarding them.
Hopefully Fiel/other credible sources would give me a reliable answer! (also state the patch that the updates will occur if possible, and if theres any future changes after chaos).

It really matters a lot to me to find out the answer to these questions, someone please help me with them and give credible sources if possible (and state the question you are answering too!) Thanks very much in advance!

A is the answer and you agreed to Nexon's ToS. They have the right to change anything they want at any given time. Don't like it? Quit.
Also it's only 121+ equipment that has access to the 4th tier. Reverse / Timeless / VL equipment is 3rd tier, while VIP and 121+ Ele wand/staves are 4th tier.

Max/min crit refers to the damage you'll get if you crit, default is 120% minimum crit damage and 150% maximum crit damage. The crit damage from Thorns and SE will stack since they affect different crit stats, but the increased crit rate will not stack, it'll just use the bonus crit rate of whichever was cast second.

He's saying it already stacked pre-chaos, nothing changed otherwise. It's just people believe the stacking didn't occur until AFTER chaos.

50% def cuts off your damage by half.
Threaten (and other def ignoring things) work by reducing the defense, so -30% would be 50%def*0.7 = 35% def

First of all, would it hurt to just write normally? I think that might be one of the reasons people don't bother to read trough your questions and thus give you more answers from more people.

Also, your first and second question were already answered... And the number 7, AFAIK there i no evidence supporting that there's a change in the difficulty of getting from rare->epic->unique due to the number of lines.
