A mass of the top posters (including the ones past Top 10; and no, not all of them) are a joke. The common consensus shows when viewing their post histories. Their inane comments will go anywhere from answering a question that has already been satisfied to posting something completely irrelevant and carrying on from whatever it branches out to.

At first it may seem like they're trying to help, contribute and the likes, but now they are like the fur farm animals, blinking stupidly at the fate that is about to destroy them. Might as well carve your post count number into your head with a spoon.

Well, it seems like Fiel tried to counter this form of e-peen by not showing posts counts on posts. It's hard to tell if his idea worked though.

If you switch to a different style they show up. But the other ones make my eyes bleed.

I don't know why people have an infatuation with getting a high post count. It's always about quality. If you want people to take notice of you, make quality posts that aren't just discussing some random meme or some inside joke or something that's completely irrelevant to a topic.
