Most of the people who can even afford this weapon can probably get 170 dex off a 4 base.

Also, I'm not really surprised, seeing how high the protection level is there (it even sends out legits if it detects something which isn't right).

Now wondering why wouldn't they implement that kind of system to all bosses to discourage hacking.

i seriously doubt hackers getting banned is the issue, if it were, the same stuff would be on every map, if anything i think it's them not bothering because it was glitched, which is why, as much as i didn't like it, i approved of this stuff being kept hidden.

Nope.
We wanted to keep the fact it was unglitched secret due to several servers talking crap about Bello not being able to kill Empress, since when we first got to all 5 we couldn't kill them all.
We found out by testing, just as other servers should. It was only a matter of time before it got out, but if we could have kept it secret until we could kill the whole thing, then we would have.
We weren't going to do anything with the armor until we actually killed the whole thing, but now that it's out, we might sell it. Not sure.
Besides, it's not like if we told everyone you could get armor then they would suddenly flock the market; there's only a few people who can actually get them.

I'm sure almost all the servers can get far, even kill empress completely. The problem is usually coordination, getting past those egos and obviously if it's glitched or not.

Well... people spend their time and money on fail test runs to figure out things you need to know in order to beat it and then other people just take advantage of it without the initial cost. Is that fair?

My group went on around a dozen failed runs of CHT over the course of months to figure out exactly how to make it drop. Then someone blabs and now we can't get in at all. Is that fair?

From what I heard, it was mostly Bera/Broa.

This is sort of like Bell Institute for General Mills. They keep their newest cereal developments top secret because you can't patent cereal, you can only hope to have the market to yourself for a couple months before a competitor knocks you off.
I was using the same logic here - but after potential, DPS is the least of everyone's worries. Bello had overcome most of it's old drama, so we were able to pick and choose who we wanted in the squad, and after several test runs, we found out what works best.

i find that good enough, low leveled people will still have their silly pride of "my server did it first" but the high leveled and people who went on the run know that there's no way to know who truly did it first.

cool, there might still be hope for me (and my monster book) guess it's time to go wash those points, don't think i'll find a dragon or a polearm anytime soon >.<
