Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread
Darkmaniak Wrote:Duo queue with Corn in ranked = Insta win.

I don't believe I lost a game yet duoing with you, huh?

I really need to be better at more champions, though, lol. I can't play Caitlyn and Cho'Gath forever. (btw Will, what runes do you NEED as jungle Cho'Gath?)

Nope we've won all our duo queues so far. With those 2 chars you can cover tank, mage and ranged dps. You should get a jungle tanky dps!

I was watching the last game stream of dota 2, can't say much since I don't really understand much of the game, I get lost easily since I'm used to LoL and the map is so different (yet so simmilar) to the rest of the Moba games in LoL, I didn't know the Dota champs so I was very confused, it look interesting but at the same time weird.
Corn Wrote:(btw Will, what runes do you NEED as jungle Cho'Gath?)

From my experience, jungle Cho is highly reliant on the right runes and mastery setup. Took some time for me to get this down.

Runes:

x9 AS marks (mandatory)
x9 Armor seals (mandatory)
x9 MR glyphs
x3 MS quints (or x3 HP quints if you don't have MS quints. However, MS quints does A LOT for jungle Cho)

Masteries:

1/13/16
Well, crap. Looks like I won't be jungling Cho for a while.
Talon Mechanics Preview

Quote:Greetings, Summoners!

Today we wanted to bring you a peek into the mechanics behind Talon, the Blade's Shadow, the new assassin that's joining the League!

Talon, the Blade's Shadow, is a physical damage assassin who specializes in high-mobility, high-risk, high-reward gameplay. Our goal with Talon was to create a powerful but fragile melee character with specialized tools to make him both deadly and evasive. As a result, what Talon lacks in durability and sustain, he dishes out in mobility and power.

The driving force behind Talon's gameplay is the way that he engages and disengages from combat using his four abilities:

* Cutthroat: An ability that allows Talon to catch his enemies by surprise. Talon leaps behind his target and silences them for a short duration, amplifying the damage of any of his follow up attacks and abilities.
* Noxian Diplomacy: Talon viciously stabs his enemy, dealing heavy physical damage and causing them to leave a blood trail that Talon can use to track them.
* Rake: Talon fans out three blades in front of him that quickly return to him, dealing damage and slowing any target hit in either direction.
* Shadow Assault (Ultimate): Talon enters stealth for a short duration, gaining a movement speed boost and sending blades that deal damage to all enemies in their path flying in every direction. Once the blades reach a certain distance, they pause and form a circle. When Talon reappears from stealth, the blades return to him, once again dealing damage to any opponent they pass through.
* Mercy (Passive): Talon's auto-attacks deal additional damage to a target that is under the influence of any crowd control effect.

Playing Talon effectively is all about reading the situation and reacting strategically to your target. Shadow Assault can be either your saving grace or your deadliest advance. Using it to disappear can sting your target and leave them chasing ghosts. But if it's a fight you want, using it to initiate in conjuction with Cutthroat, Noxian Diplomacy, and Mercy can deal significant burst damage.

To sum up, Talon's a mean, shadowy, vicious assassin... and we're excited to see him join the League soon. And as a side note, his mobility and elusiveness makes him a very good pick on Dominion!

Yup, my predictions of him being an assassin/melee/stealth champ was correct. Biggrin

fixed

I'm going to have a feeding Talon on my team every game for a week, aren't I?
So...he's basically an AD Akali?
Corn Wrote:So...he's basically an AD Akali?

Twin Disciplines is more sustain than you think. Talon also doesn't have an armour/MR buff.

Wait, he's not a tank!?

I loled
So after recently purchasing Orianna she's quickly becoming one of my favourite champions.
So far I've done really well with her, even in ranked. Just faced a team of heavy melee dps consisting of Xin, Tryn, Yi, Heimer and Cho. Their Cho disconnected after dying to me twice at top. But Yi was getting fed off our Veigar and when their Cho reconnected they grabbed Baron twice and just constantly backdoored us. Thankfully Irelia and Veigar saved their teleports for the backdooring, meanwhile I was farming and getting kills from their squishy team (Thornmail was a godsend here).

Eventually I hit Legendary status and a teamfight finally breaks out and we kill them, then we proceed to take out their base.
I'd have to say Orianna is pretty amazing. Top AP carry along with Brand and Annie. Finished with a score of 11/3/19 Biggrin

Orianna is one of the best mid-lane solo champs and a solid AP carry. Not surprised. If you use her right she's amazing (and hella annoying to those who are going against her)

This guy just really asked for Pendragon to come in and straight-up humiliate him in public. What a f'ucking scrub and a low-life nub; he deserved the perma-ban. Would've been a week-long ban if he didn't QQ his ass and ask for a Rioter to pretty much f'uck him over

Pendragon Wrote:Honestly -- you were voted to be punished because you completely deserved it. I'd go so far as to say that you don't deserve an explanation - because of how negative of an experience you've created for others around you in-game.

You've been reported two hundred times for completely legitimate reasons, and constantly create a negative experience for those around you.

Offenses include constant verbal harassment, and intentionally feeding when your team wouldn't surrender, trying to get the other team to report your teammates falsely, etc.

It's actually so bad that you're frequently reported by members of not even your own team - but the opposing team as well.

Based on my review of your account history, the way you choose to conduct yourself in games and the simple fact that you clearly show no remorse for your actions or intention of changing, I've decided to permanently close your account.

I wish you luck in future gaming endeavors.
Guy seemed actually reasonable and not like a complete ass in the OP.

Yeah, but have you considered him even telling the truth? Aka, poker face? He could seem nice but what about his actions - as exposed by Pendragon - in games?

This. I know someone who is nice and everything in casual settings. Hell, he's even getting a job at Riot as player support. But when he gets playing in a game, he becomes a very different person, a whole lot like me xD Except he's not as good, and seems to complain about teamwork a lot.
Yeah, obviously he was lying. Seemed seriously stupid to try and get a reds attention even though he wasn't telling the truth-- which they could easily uncover. (why I thought he was telling the truth).

He might still have a point in that they don't tell people in their emails why they got banned. I've heard this complaint quite a few times, and Pendragon usually comes out and completely pwns the OP when they say they're innocent xD
Anyways, so while I'm slowly working on finishing up my Amumu guide catered for SP LoL players, is anyone interested in a jungle Cho'Gath guide? I won't mind writing one, tbh.
I think I'm the only one here interested in jungle Cho'Gath.

But it's going to be a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnng time before I will be able to jungle Cho'Gath, since I don't have the runes, and I'm working on Akali runes first (not to mention I have to buy a new runepage).
TotalBiscuit uploaded a video of a complete Dominion match with commentary with the lead designer of Dominion.
