Why? He's a complete imbecile. I don't think he has a leadership bone in his body. He's charismatic (less so now), and that's about it. Terrible decision maker. He has thrown this country completely under the bus in less than a full term. The prospect of 5 more years with this buffoon in office is enough to scare me. If the previous two and a half years are any indication of what this guy does in office, there won't be a USA by the end of his second term.

You're talking about all the economic turmoil right? The one that was set up by the previous government... Which was republican. There's only so much one person can do when he's thrown into a fire.

That's more accurate.

Anyone who puts the fault on Obama for the current circumstances shouldn't be discussing politics, at all.
Also, I'm surprised you don't see it yet, Michelle will get nominated, she will make Sarah Palin her wingman, rather women, and it'll between obama, and feminists. Obama has a problem though because more people have lost faith in him when not presented a 2 minute solution.

Hate to be that guy... but honestly, I want you to try and put someone else in Obamas' shoes after 2000-2008 and who ran the country then. He definitely went into this presidency with full force, and has been slacking a bit as of late, but I really can't blame him. I can say without regret that I feel safe with him as a president and with one more term I feel he can accomplish a lot more because in my eyes this term was a pick-me-up from the real imbecile that was in office before him. He's the most educated president we've had in years, so I have no idea why you would call him an imbecile, or anything regarding being unintelligent.

More promises kept than broken is always positive, especially by that margin up there. If you expect more out of a President that had to run a country that pretty much had been sitting on the f'ucking couch for 8 years, then all I can say is lower your standards, cause that isn't happening anytime in our lifetimes.

I think it's more people not seeing the bigger picture, it's him against congress, and that's 1 vs 2. And it's at the same fault of all the dumb asses against obama as they elected the opposite party as the majority, and guess what happened. A wall. Why does the common people have no foresight? Rather common sense

We're talking about the majority of America here... I'm just thankful they can't be considered an overly domineering faction. (Because, you know, you actually have to have things like logic, common sense, and intelligence to have the power and effect a faction does)

My dad works at a very high bureaucratic level, I'll be honest, he feels like a real scum bag. He's a true blue american he believes in equality and all that jizz, but like me, he sees the incredible ineffective government trying to give itself purpose*. According to an audit the fed's did recently, the government was double paying some projects. I'm talking two payments of 5mil to see if cow gas affects global warming. Where did that other 5m go? No one really knows.
Our country's in the pomegranateter because were a hobo trying to convince a car salesman we have good credit, hey check out our house!
Edit: wow two major errors im tired lol

It's not necessarily that they can be herded like sheep. The Tea Party is not in power, as they are just a small (you may actually refer to them as a faction) organization that dwell deep inside the ruins of both liberal and conservative belief, but support a more Republican point of few, one that is too radical and too outdated to ever work in present day America. Republicans aren't in power just because all the news you hear coming out of CNN and Fox are about them, they are just a popular group of crackpots at this point. A small section of them can at least conjure up rational and true facts; but the rest are helpless and unfortunately supported by more helpless people (those people, we call Americans and stuff), which will actually result in a very scary election to those who are actually aware of what would be the result of one of the Republicans we have running, winning.
The Tea Party can't be in power because the idea they revolve around is so simple that whenever you ask a member of the Tea Party movement, they can't give you an answer. They just know it was in the constitution at one point in time and that we should go back to that, because it worked back then. But unfortunately for America, Republicans can be in power next year, and if they are... It's frightening to think about who is going to be the figure head of said power.

The Republicans are in power due to the fact that they can prevent the Democrats from doing ANYTHING. Dat Filibuster.

It's not the Republicans primarily that are preventing the Democrats, Obama, Liberals, whatever from doing anything. It's powers like congress, the legislative branch, all that good stuff that have the strings to pull on the Democrats. They don't even bother with the Republicans at this point.

The republicans essentially control the legislative branches atm, due to having enough people to filibuster.

Yet against said logic she still won said poll, which says a lot about voting Republicans in Iowa right now...
Fixed.

No the legislative branch controls the legislative branch. The Separation of Powers was established and still holds true today to do just that, separate the powers so no one political party or big idea can control the other.
Although, I can argue on your behalf that they do indeed try to rule the branches, but in the end they are slowly making the Government crumble under their actions.

I'm not American, but I have this to say to the US Government:
Put your political beliefs aside, throw your pride out with the trash, and SAVE YOUR FUCKING COUNTRY ALREADY, then you can sit down and go on with your shitty political tomfoolery.

Well both the US and Canada have the same problems with their voters, in the sense that the majority of them have no idea how their political systems work. The way I see it is that a lot of people are putting what's happening in congress on Obama's shoulders when for the past few months he's been trying to bring congress together. The way the system in the US works makes it really hard to get anything done honestly, since things have to go through Congress, Senate, and then the President before anything can be passed.

This is the problem, people like you agree that you need to put politics aside then make a political statement. What happen to putting the political tomfoolery aside?
Anyways, all the choices for the Republican side look just as bad as the Democratic side. At this point all I see is "Democrats=Republicans." I don't see any real candidate can "fix" America at this point.
Oh, and the Elvis thing was just sad IMO, she just needs to keep her mouth shut or stick to her talking points.(This coming from a Conservative.)
