GMS Monster Book (post chaos)

So, if I have understood this, you are able to finish as many sets as you would like. Say you finished Aqua Road and To Zak sets. Would you be able to switch between book bonuses whenever you would like?

Yes. Just open your monster book and click the "sets" tab and flip through pages until you find the set you want, click it and activate it. I'd take pix but my internet is frazzled a bit, yay free internet on vacation. Still, better than nothing. I'll try and get on in the next couple days and double check all my info. Didn't realize it'd all be accessible in Tespia books but hey, sometimes you can't open maple and wanna check some things so i'll leave it up after the patch hits the server.

EDIT: I was able to get on Tespia for a couple minutes earlier and indeed, there are actually 3 sets I missed. There's the Hoblin PQ set, another set with only 7 cards that has really fantastic rewards (1% atk 1% tot damage, i'll assume standard growths) that eludes my memory, and a massive 30 card set for Dark Henny and Future Ereve. Will try and update accordingly soon.

EDIT2: Updated with Hoblin PQ, Von Leon and Door to the Future (600 mb exp!!).

So getting to lv 7 will take about everything do-able for some1 150ish not including ht/pb and wouldn't the future cards be 3/6/9 because they seem to follow the pattern of potential

I really don't know. I'd rather not say it'll be something that may be wrong, than say something and mislead others. As PirateIzzy says, the book level seems to not be increasing the benefits of the sets. I don't why, and honestly I didn't read anything that said those level 10 things are associated, it was the only thing that made sense to me.

All my info, or most of it rather, was taken and translated from extractions Fiel did, that's where the level data came from.

So what are the mob IDs of the 4 Mavericks you mentioned in gMS?

Could it be depending when u get the full set say lv 4 you get 2% vrs lv 1 % and lv 7 3%?

Click on SP's database, type in 'Maverick', click search.
There's two separate Type D mobs, they originally had very different stats, but were changed with BB. I don't know which is where. I do, however, remember some bosses in Neo City would sometimes summon mobs, unfortunately, this patch(v.83) came before Fiel started to do mob attacks in the extractions.
If anything, Fiel could say where/what spawns each of the Type D Mavericks(or someone else who can extract said data).

IIRC there's two Maverick Type Ds because we used to have those "dangerous" maps that spawned Neo Tokyo monsters, not sure what happened to that particular map.

I'm having a problem activating a set bonus. For example I have Maple Island Friends set completed and the bonus for it is maxHP +5. The book also reads "set score 10points" and "selected set" is empty. I tried clicking the Maple Island Friends set but that doesn't activate it. What am I doing wrong?

Either you need to click the set and click "Activate" bonuses or something like that on the left page or, as I believe I heard someone mention in another thread, using sets is glitched and you can't change the set you have active.

There's no button that says "activate" or anything along those lines. At least not as far as I can see.

It seems like selecting sets is broken for the time being. Fortunately for me, I have no complete sets, so i'll be working hard after getting that Van Leon set

Yea I think set selection is broken.
But it seems that set bonuses activate upon set completion. At least that was the case when I just completed the Edelstein set.

Leafre gives 30% PDR and +1 all skills, not 40% increased meso drop

El Nath / Orbis set is wrong too, it only gives +1 dex not +2.

And currently my book's level 4 but the sets are all showing level 1 bonuses x_x

Where do you see the books level?

I read there are problems with the books?

If the book in your inventory gives +1 all stat, it's level 1.
If it's +2 all stat, it's level 2.
etc.
