How did MapleStory Make You Smile Today?

I think, actually, that more posts are going to go to this thread, or they'll be fairly evenly split, pending sticky. Just because as has been mentioned, the Achievement thread has a lot of bigger things that may put some people off from posting. Whereas this thread has some "smaller" things in it. Which, as we all know, are more common than those big once in a character thing like MW30.

I agree with this. The opportunity to contribute is more likely here.

The only reason this might be true is because big achievements don't happen every waking second, like things that would go in this thread. Just needs to be a distinction between achievements and...smile posts?

Yeah but anything can make someone smile.. I don't see the point of sharing minimal things compared to big achievements.

When I saw maplestory wasn't down for a 12 hour matinence on my day off, I slightly smiled. Then I saw it was raining on my day off and facedesked. It's more ironic if you realize that I lifeguard for a living and it only seems to rain on my days off.

Everytime I come in first in 120+ free for all, which is 8 out of 10 times.

I smiled when they changed ACB to have an amazing animation.

Edit: Wait, the thread's title said today. Well alright then, I smiled when I saw Zakum drop four helmets and my ambition leveled up to 29 simultaneously.

I had 1337 HP and 1337 MP at the same time.
I smiled. Then YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

I quit and my life feels much more fulfilling now.

Okay... Well, today I smiled because a bunch of guildmates and I just sat talking in Shammo's Room. Some guy came in and asked if our party was full. We all asked, "Full for what?" None of us knew there was a Shammo's PQ. (We're older players)
And in case you wanted this as an achievement thread: I made an 18% DEX HTP and traded it for an 18% LUK HTP and passed MW20 (finally) in the same day.

Ah sorry I didn't this would conflict with the achievements post! Mainly because that thread is in the screenshots section of the forums? I just thought that this thread could let people share their stories when they don't have a screenshot, or it is not something that can be screencapped.

@dontlisten I didn't know there was a Shammo PQ either! No wonder I see people gathered in the room whenever I go there...

Well first laugh was when our guild got a new member and I trolled him by saying my name was bob and I lived in Russia and other stuff. xD

Secondly a(nother) guildy came to MDT to help me hunt angelic recipe (my counter is at 28 hours and still nothing), which was very nice of her and we had a nice chat ^^

Then thirdly I pvp'd and TOTALLY owned a hero with my bishop (srsly, he went 100% to 0% hp, I had 80% hp left at the end ^^, I did had some help from a strength up buff and I doomed, then dispelled and healed + AR spam xD). I was like "SWEET REVENGE" since he allready killed me like 3 times.

I got two Tim's lab scrolls on my KoC. I was figurin I could scroll of Pyrope Rohen that I got from the ann. event awhile back. For the second scroll, I was thinking a shield would do me good until I could use the two handed sword, and it would give me +30 wep defense, something I sort of need, considering I am not taking my noblesse clothing off. I decided against it and scrolled some emerald earrings instead because I figure I can cube and keep those. when I scrolled the earrings and revealed their potential, they gained +30 weapon defense. I lol'd.

I agree. It's a nice thread and idea and all but seems prone to become a spam chat thread more than anything else, and a thread like that doesn't need sticky to stay at the top of a page.
