Reasons why you play/used to play MapleStory

"The community" implies that a majority of this game's community was good.
I had some friends. They were the reasons I played. They're (mostly) all gone now, and so am I.

Theres music on maple? lol I never listened to maple music, maple sound was always off for me.

the game used to be fun, not anymore.

I'm only playing Maple because I always meet that one person who keeps me playing. It may be to train with friends or just to chat in general. Combining training with chatting makes 2x events fly by~

The community in general consists of racist and homophobic 9 year olds... but awesome people there are, and awesome people there will be. It's the awesome people that count.

I played for the simplicity. It was easy to play, quick access to getting strong enough where you don't have to rely on a lot of people, and was a very flexible at it's time. Pq hoar, train hoar, money hoar, what have you.

Now the game barely runs on my desktop that can play crisis 2 with no lag, other players can kick me off the game as they please, and the proportion of funded players vs starting players is staggering. You have to keep with the rhythm or you get left in the dust.

To kill time. I like getting lost in the quests.

The graphic, the theme and the BGM.
BGM is one of the greatest thing Maplestory have IMHO, they fit the theme of each map so nice and have unique BGM for most region unlike some other MMO out there.
2D side scrolling, too.
