the future looks very promising expansion-wise, and nobody has killed the empress, she's glitched to hell and back, people could kill her if it weren't for this.

i'd like to try again in tespia for kicks, but dunno, haven't really tried to see if any chinchillas are up for it.

So this means that ANOTHER Black Wings Henchman is on the run. There is too many already! But then, where is Empress Cygnus quest related to all this? Between this, the generals, and everything else, I'm amazed the 5 heroes were able to seal the Black Mage. If this guy can manipulate dreams, then we could see the best or worst spin-offs ever in the history of Maple Story quests. But trying to stay cannon, if this is all a dream, and what happened to Pink Bean is "real", then there could be a new Door to the future. Okay, my head hurts. Anyone can shine some light into this?

also, i did the dream fragment quest, what you say is completely correct, you get a quest for dying at the empress, but i can't find shinsoo at all to talk to him.

Ugh, I reread your post, and...it's giving me the vibe that the entire ToT is relative, and changes for each individual that enters it. I mean, if Memory Lane is just you reviewing your memories in an effort to understand that "regretting your memories will lead to oblivion" and the future is just your dream, then there's nothing concrete about it, except we know that the Black Mage used it as his own private headquarters. I'm starting to think we'll get nothing out of it except more teasers >.>

we can already travel to the past if i am not wrong, ellin forest, however, the door to the past in the ToT takes us to our past memories if i remember correctly.

I actually think that the Door to the Past does take us back in time.
It would make sense if Pink Bean's summoning was a long-ago attempt at bringing back the Black Mage since the Black Wings don't seem involved in it at all.

That actually makes a lot of sense because, when you get your first Dream Fragment, you're told to take it to Neinhert.
I don't remember the text verbatim, but he definitely makes it sound like Dream Fragments are the remains of something that has been conjured up.

Of course, if the rest of what you say is true, it makes me wonder what the point of the Dream World is.
If it's not real, it's not a threat unless someone goes in it or something comes out of it.

The entire time I was doing those quests I kept thinking, "Oh, there's a set of mystical stones that are scattered because, if they're brought back together, they can free the Black Mage. Where have I heard that before?"

The Black Mage cackles laughter as his voice starts to distort.
"Do you pitiful adventurers really want to know who i am?"
"We demand it!" shouts Mercedes as she twirls her hair and flaunts her pixels

The Black Mage reaches up with his ancient, evil hands and pulls back his hood. The heroes are stunned, it can't be.

You know, It's starting to amuse me how much Neinheart seems to just know about these guys. Athena I can understand, but.. dude...really? Now I am sad because my highest level is only 115 and I won't even be able to screencap these wonderful quest for quiet some time. :C
