As a customer, I am not required to sympathize with whatever hardships they are facing due to their own incompetence or cheapness or both.
I expect the service to be available whenever not announced to be down ("scheduled maintenance") or curtailed by circumstances out of their control (power out).
If they mess up and it's down more than that, they should compensate, in-game. I'm not asking for real-life money or objects. Just virtual compensation for a virtual loss. 2x, maple points, mesos, game items (cash shop or normal), etc.

And as their customer, they aren't require to do sh'it for you. Look at your bold, then look at the following:

nexon makes millions of dollars and cant afford a backup generator...i find that sad....T_T

Guys, im sure nexon wants the servers back up just as much as we do.
I mean, every minute the server is down, they could be losing hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

Nexon has shown they don't give a pineapple about big nx spenders+new ones replace them, Nexon is a buisness and they would change something if their profit margin was on a decline which they havent.

server is down, people are called in to fix said servers, those people are paid over time. While servers are down no one is buying or spending nx. The electiricity and other utlities are on and no cash flow is comming in...

Not to mention the complete waste of their resources while the game is down.

They are making money but they could be making a lot more if they cared. And more money is always better for a business no?

yeah... it really shows a level of immaturity when people get overly pissed off at situations like this. Some slight anger is perfectly normal (key word being slight of course). And blades makes a great point too.

What people don't realize is that nexon never promised any of us.... well... almost anything. In fact, they did the opposite. They proposed to us that their game may not always be available, that they weren't at fault for any of that... that nothing belongs to us in that game.... that we basically have no rights in that game or regarding most things pertaining to the game... and we all agreed in order to play. And no.... I'm not about to complain about the ToS. That's fine.

They put it out there, and we all agreed to it. And since we did, we need to grow the hell up and learn to deal with it.

It's overly childish to want it otherwise.

People who buy nx buy it to look pretty or advance their game play in one way or another. In their mind they are set up on buying that nx regardless or planning on getting it while the servers are down.

As I later noted, being mad is fine... but when you seem like you're seething with rage (not you of course)... it just gets stupid. It gets even worse when we get people demanding nexon to compensate them. Almost as if nexon's required to.

It's fine to be slightly mad about. It's fine to hope for some compensation because maybe nexon does slightly care for us enough to give us some. But to demand compensation as if it's some RIGHT you have for playing the game... well that's just...
