2011-08-07 GMS Outage

Everyone needs to be a little more patient :/ The button may say green to go, but nexon is probably still trying to get their servers 100% online. I don't hold anything against them. If Nexon needs to hold off the game for a while longer to make sure their servers will be up with the 100% of what they had before, then by all means they should do so, especially if this wasn't their fault to begin with.

Huh. Werid. It happened again, but when I cam back to this site, the light was green... The error message says this:
"504 Gateway Time-out
nginx/0.8.54"

because then everyone knows and we can't be the first ones.

@green Look what trying to login got you? Pic glitch. When nexon says the game is up and ready to go if that does not give you enough time to get a good fm spot you fail. How were you getting fm spots before the server status page came up?

The main sever is pineapple-ing up.
Oh yeah, I just got an Web attack from maplestory.nexon.net, "Blackhole Toolkit Webside 5". Just by the way.

Okay that was weird, Nexon did have a USC notice up on site with 500+ views already, went back to copy here and it's gone. They said although sites are up game is still undergoing stuff and they will update us etc etc.

Seems they finally posted an "Unscheduled Maintenance" message on their site and the site actually shows the game offline, too.
At least they're making some progress, or so it seems.

It's all possible. Energys go to level 1.

The 'game is up' notice by Nexon is usually posted several minutes after the servers are actually up, and by then, all the good fm spots are usually taken. I don't know about the rest of the people in this thread, but I don't really care if the SC takes 10 minutes, or 10 hours, I'd just like Nexon to have the decency to post an ETA so i could know if i should keep trying to get online now, or just go do something else.

The play button has appeared, although I haven't seen if I could log in.

Earthquakes may be frequent in California, but ones that actually cause any kind of damage aren't that frequent.

From the first few pages, it seems Nexon's headquarters in the LA region house all their games' servers, which explains why Dragon Nest is down as well as maple. And since the region experienced an unplanned blackout, it would appear they're having issues starting their servers again. Plus there's no way in hell an earthquake big enough to kill powerlines and servers wouldn't be on the news. And one that big woulda been felt in the Bay methinks.

I've got this thread and the GMS Status page open on one monitor and a movie up on another, so I'm perfectly content. Just refreshing each page every few minutes to see if there's any updates.
