Since there are so many of you here from Europe, I'd like to know what is the best way to travel through Europe? My fiance are trying to plan a trip there, and we're just trying to find out the best way to get around. We'd like to start in London first, then move south from there.
Also, hotels or hostels?

denmark's nice, if you look for some crazy nights out and decent hotels - my favorite chain is called Comwell. Scandic is a nice chain too, with a, usually, cheap a lá carte restaurant.
we also have decent food for a decent buck, though you'll have to shell out a somewhat big amount to get food for the experience.
other than that, we have cheap groceries.
do note that we do not use euros(), but DKK(danish crowns).
Germany is a country filled with freeways and cheapass hotels with crappy food if you don't know where to look. it took me 6 years of travel to find out a decent chain of hotels that offer a nice service alongside nice food for a decent price. the chain is called Accord.
I do not recommend going france unless you're on a guided tour, else it will be a sh'itstorm of hours spent on twirly roads and impossible maps.
Italy is a very nice place to stay, but I enjoy it mostly because of their food and gastronomics. their arts in ice and sherbet is just amazing, and the camping service called Vacansoleil is cheap.
hope this helped a little.
