Stop PVP Hackers
#21
Nexon will never stop hackers. instead, ask for nexon t considerably reduce the amount of haxers in game right now.

Also why just PvP ones? there are tons out of PvP botting in maps.

I feel so disgusted that there's been these 3 haxers botting in MDT since last friday, and none has been banned...

It sends like 50 packets a millisecond to the server and then you start attacking like a badman mofo.

LOOOOOOL Some hackers are known to help us legit players. Really, Nexon can try to do something about hackers, but can NEVER do it. It's really hard. And yes, the hackers send packets really fast to the server, and when you stun, like I state above it crashes it, because they're spamming an attack while not allowed to attack.

yep, i know some hackers are actually pretty chill, but it's honestly annoying when you get to a PVP fight, you become the ice kni-DC'd. (heck, even hackers are pissed off at these), then the less-but-still-annoying spam which doesn't DC you, but well, screws you up anywyas, on both sides, one side gets less points/exp, the other the same thing.

How is leaving the room early going to stop hackers? That means they've WON. Most hackers have nothing to gain anymore from Maplestory, pvp basically made hacking obsolete(for leveling, anyway), they're just doing it because they're bored, and they feel like hearing legits whine and try to psychoanalyze them, and even if they all leave, the hacker still wins, it was the hackers goal to dc the ice knight to begin with. I've even heard hackers telling other players this in ice knight waiting rooms.

There is, unfortunately, no way to stop these hackers. The ''security'' updates that Nexon promises really worry me, I fear it will be more hindering on legits than actual hackers, and even if it does affect hackers, it's only a matter of time before they update their hacks.

The point of d/Cing the ice knight is to gain more exp.

Does dcing the ice knight really give your more exp? I get more exp in pvp when there aren't any hackers, simply because I can get a higher score, if they dc the ice knight before 2 seconds even pass, they're missing out on A LOOOOOOOOT of points, as far as I've played, winning has nothing to do with it, I get about 70k EXP if a hacker is in the ch and the IK doesn't dc, I get around 100- to as much as 140k EXP if the ice knight wins.

1. This doesn't work on all hackers, just the ones stupid enough to spam skills.
2. DCing the Ice Knight does not give better experience. Some of the hackers just don't know what they're doing and end up DCing the Ice Knight on accident.
3. 2 or more hackers in the room = higher chance to DC.

This topic should probably just be ended, since no one knows what they are talking about anyway, and they are either just restating the same information or saying how Nexon sucks at stopping hackers.

Anyways, the point of d/c'ing Ice Knight, is to gain more exp. They go in, they spam, they get w/e score they want quickly, they d/c the Ice Knight, the round is now over, they get their exp and bp, now they run to a new match and do the same thing over again. That's how it gets them more exp.

These hackers ARE dumb, and are beatable in game by us. Yes, but I do agree, we shouldn't have to deal with it for weeks... Even if they are incredibly easy to beat. I mean watching a warrior come in and spam, without even magic crashing other warriors... it's a shame.

You get a 30% exp bonus for a tie (when the Ice Knight disconnects) or a 60% bonusfor a win (when the Ice Knight dies), so it's quite a bit better to actually kill it.

Extra points are only good for the BP though - once you hit 800 points, you're at about 95% of the max possible exp per round, and someone who gets 1000 or 6000 points is getting just about the same exp reward.

This is how you beat hackers. I'm sorry, but they simply don't know how to play. If you know your character and you know how to play, you will still win. It helps that I'm a warrior yes, but other classes have similar ways to win.

This particular round though, I couldn't tell who was hacking or what, I didn't care though. Start the round waiting for everyone to drop down, like idiots they all stayed on one plat, I move over, drop down, rush > magnet > crash > roar > sd kill stuff with is. Pick up everything on a retreat, to try to heal, and repeat, minus crash. If they managed to kill me, it'd only mean their doom.

Even when I have other crashers stopping me from keeping pg up, that method stopped just about everything.

Also, I thought the last SC was gonna help with the hacking a bit? Seemed it did absolutely nothing to slow them down.

As for Ice Knight d/c'ing, you have to think. It's like going to BW when you kill Crockys a lot faster. If you have a party that can kill crockys nearly individually, you kill faster, you gain more exp. If they can get their score, then d/c the Ice Knight, and start a new round faster, they gain more exp overall, than waiting till it's death, cause Ice Knight can still slow them down. After all, what can you spam if you're a snail, and if an Ice Knight starts that loop and knows what he's doing, it'll be a major waste of your time.

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.

This is the biggest pile of trout I have ever read.

The only reason you have the highest score is PG. I guarantee that.
