Splendid Silent Crusader Shoulders
#1
I'm basically posting this because this shoulderpad is MUCH more easier to get than crafting one yourself. I suggest people to focus on the questline instead of focussing on getting PvP Emblems to create your shoulderpad.

It took me about six hours (including small rollbacks and crashes yesterday) total to finish the quest up to the ring (which gives 102% EXP and 2 W.ATT/M.ATT) and the required rank to buy the shoulderpad. Here's an image of it;

Also note that this shoulderpad costs (only) 7,500,000 mesos and has unlimited supply for you. This means you can basically Chaos Scroll it (or use the regular scrolls which have a booming chance and cost more than a Chaos Scroll) , until you're happy with it and then potential it using the Cash Shop item.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people knew about this already, but I'm just pointing it out again that it is very easy to get.

10,000,000 mesos each plus they require another three ranks above the one you need to get the shoulderpad.

Three more ranks is a total of (200+250+300=) 750 coins. Knowing that you're out of quests right before you get the required rank for this shoulderpad, it's going to take ages. You can only do areaboss quests once a day.

3 slots so you can pot it? If so 7.5m + unlimited supply + fusing = massive meso sink? Big Grin cewl!

i wonder if fusing can make it have better starting stats, if so it would be pretty nifty. annoying since it's untradeable though

People in JMS have this at +5 with FIVE of those scrolls passed..

Then again, its totally possible to get it to +5 pretty easily on GMS. Shielding Wards + White scrolls.

anyone to help me with some quick math, when is it less expensive to ward, after the first hammer, after the second hammer, or never?

i plan to get one of these to +2 without any WS then WS the last slot.

id say you should ward+ws after the hammer, because before hammers, you can just spend a couple mil and get a new one to start over, but if you hammer, that's already a 400m investment into it, and if it booms after a hammer, then that's a waste.

If you have the money for it, you should just Chaos Scroll it and ward the last two slots with those regular scrolls if the Chaos Scrolls turned out nice.

Awesome, so it's not one-of-a-kind. So, you can just make a 5+ with regular scrolls and chaos one on the side.

Or if you have funds for it: old fashioned scrolling: Buy massive amounts, scroll each one with 1 scroll. Those that didn't explode keep and fuse the ones with less slots.

Then buy another round to increase your chances of +1 shoulders, scroll each one with 1 scroll and keep the ones that didn't explode. Fuse the rest.

Once satisfied with adequate of +1s, scroll again. keep all. Attempt another round- if multiple +3s YAY. If not get the old +1s and scroll their last slot.

Potential each one with 70% or 90%

You'll get at least 1 depending on your sample size. 3 lines is a completely different story though.

I don't think it would be worth it to use wards at all.

Wards cost 11.9k. Hammers cost 4.25k. By not using wards you have a 25% chance of breaking so add (4.25+cost of making another +3 pad)*25% to 4.25k.

Is that larger than 11.9k? The only way that'd happen is it takes you more than 26.35k nx to make a +3.

I'm going to get myself a Tim's Secret Lab and save it until I scrolled a good shoulderpad. That way I'll be sure to have no failure on potential. Costs a lot less than a ward, too.

Cost by slot:
+1: 2 armor + 2 scrolls = 35m
+2: 2x+1 + 2 scrolls = 90m
+3: 2x+2 + 2 scrolls = 200m
+4: 2x+3 + 2 scrolls = 420m
+5: 2x+4 + 2 scrolls = 860m
Warding will cost an average of 2 wards + 2 WS = 1.3bil per slot. Not cost effective.
