lag issues.

this happened two days ago.

out of nowhere, I started lagging, and then I DC'd. ever since, I haven't been able to stay on for more than 3~5 minutes every time.

I have no problem connecting to the log-in server, it's lag less.
but when I get in-game, I lag more than I have ever done, and it happens on all characters, on all the accounts I have.

there hadn't been a patch or server check before it started, I haven't changed my habits of using the internet, nor terms of downloading stuff.

I tried using both cable and wireless, the result remains the same.

I tried fixing registry, taking ping-tests, cleaning, scanning and sweeping my computer - I literally did everything recommended.

so now I've reformatted, started a fresh, only adding the sites I usually visit, downloaded MSN, Skype and transfered Maple and iTunes with the songs I've had for a long time.

I would love to get any suggestions on this as I'm stumped, and I have goals to reach.

Weird. Maybe it's the ISP. If you can test playing MS on the same machine (i.e.: notebook/laptop) on different ISPs, it would be a sure way to find out if the problem is with the ISP or your hardware.

I highly doubt that it is my ISP, seeing as it happened overnight with no maintenance/server check/patch from niether maple nor my ISP.

Well, I'm just saying it because that has happened to me as well, and it was my ISP.

Your ISP makes changes all the time without you ever knowing it. It's a much more likely cause than "it magically happened overnight", especially since reformatting didn't fix it. Try the same computer somewhere else (or wifi etc), or try a different computer on your connection.
