My interest in shaco has been sparked once more!

Such a good start. Me soloing top lane as Mordekaiser against Taric and Jax. They try to jump me at my tower, Jax goes down and Taric runs. Our Xin comes from jungle and corners Taric; he goes down easy. They respawn, come back, and do it again (only Jax dies this time). I just enjoy those games so much where I feel like Mundo and go where I please.

I've seen a lot of shacos lately and I've thought about buying him, he seems like a fun character and a nice jungler.
2 moar wins!

Numero uno: Game was so satisfying. Our vlad fed his lane until I swapped with him, then kept feeding and qqing our gp didn't gank his lane. Luckily I stole 3 dragons and baron, but we were still losing fights because we were uncoordinated and vlad and gp kept arguing.... eventually we got the act together and won.

Ee buhn: Pretty 1-sided game for us. Game was pretty much over at champ select. Their only ap was veigar and we only had 1 ap char ._. trynd did an excellent job jungling and I stole some more dragons. Cho 2 op.

He is squishy as hell though. But if used right, he is a huge menace.

IMO I think he's more of a "clean-up" guy. If he goes into a teamfight right when it starts, it'll be GG for him.
Good thing I'm on vacation to not give two pomegranates about how disappointing Riot left us with some pomegranatety stuff Rolleyes

It's bad enough Nexon let a lot of people down, but RIOT as well!?

The trailer reminded me of TF2.
Oh man a moment of lulz just happened.

I was duking it out in mid vs. Teemo as Koggles, when a fight between Malphite and Ryze and someone else broke out nearby on Teemo's side. I joined in as soon as I could, but then everyone backed off. I knew that Ryze was low, so I threw away 40 mana on an Artillery shot in a nearby grass just on the off-chance he was there.

He was there.

Cause you don't play the game much anyways? Just saying. I'm finding it hard to imagine caring about something if you don't play it =/ Watching LoL like people watch sports is another thing, and there's quite a bit of issues trying to make the analogy work.

Again with this? I already get enough pomegranate for giving my opinion on Maple related stuff when I don't play the game anymore, least for now due to JMS Monster Book, I don't need YOU lecturing me about LoL related stuff now just because I'm on break until I return from vacation. Just because I haven't played for a while now doesn't mean I've upped and stopped caring about the game. I quit WoW 4 months ago, yet I still care about the game and its info on a daily basis.
So did a few ranked today. Lost one but won several but my rating is still shitty from all the terribad teams I've dealt with. Slowly but surely I'll get up there I guess.

Also, I've finally improved a lot on Nocturne. Although there was one bad game where I jungled and my team did not cooperate whatsoever so I couldn't really do much, but other than that my games with him went really well today.

Also also, funny thing happened when I was queueing up with my friends and told them I would brb to get a snack and they started anyway and I got randomed as Shaco. Hadn't played him in forever but I never died and ended with a decent score. Lucky I still had my lane Nocturne masteries/spells on so I wasn't screwed over.
Dark Link Wrote:Again with this?

Yup. Honestly, I expected this kind of response from you, but I want you to know that I actually have little problem with what you do with LoL atm.

I don't know what your decisions are or anything, and I don't understand what I know about you very well. Educate me if you want to. I've made no assumptions about you not caring, since you like to spectate. I only said I find it hard to imagine; putting myself in your position.

I'm not trying to be offensive with it, I don't like evangelizing, and I'm not trying to. I didn't even say you were wrong. I was pointing out the irony, and the fact that I find you strange compared to other people. You're the only one that I know of that does this rather actively. Hell, I don't remember the original tiff anymore because I don't find it important.

madanthony Wrote:I've got to ask what the logic behind this is and the build order. And from your previous post, why would you not still level Q?

I start off boots and 2 hp pots. Or a doran blade if I don't have a tank/support to lane with.
My first major item to build is a Zeal I get it and I buy a ward when I base everytime, no exceptions.
Next I get a BF sword and upgrade to zerker boots.
Now that I have my bf sword I get a phantom dancer upgrade to the zeal and grab a vamp scepter to help my sustain.
I build my BF sword into a IE later on after my dancer is done.
The two tiamats are really filler spots, but with excellent positioning you really don't need to buy survival on corki with his valk and flash to get out with.

edit: Forgot to mention my runes/masteries too: I run 21/0/9 masteries with armor pen reds, critical damage quints, hp per level yellows, and mr flat blues (the blues are slowly being replaced with critical damage blues).

My main point of playing such a high damage/high attack speed build is that I split push, like a boss, every game I can. It is so damn easy to juke multiple people
if you split push a side lane with a couple of key wards up at choke points.

I max E first as it's your primary burst damage, W second since it's my primary escape & initiation, Q does so little it's literally a walking mana sink so I don't bother with it at all.
Between E, W, R, and my passive on top of exhaust I have no problem killing people very very very fast. Maxed E does wonders bro seriously try it.

Hey thanks for the video that was a good one.
Duelman Wrote:Oh I'm sorry, I didn't see the post from this person who I've never seen before until he decides to come in here and trash on my opinion.

It has similarities to CTF with specific points of the map to capture and instead of returning with them to your base you hold onto them where they lay.
Just because it's not exactly identical to CTF doesn't mean it isn't alike. I don't even know you yet and I already don't like you with that arrogance attached to your post.

This game mode is a huge f-u to the people that wanted a new map to play regular games on, that's why I'm not happy and people that disagree can jump off a cliff for all I care.
We asked Riot for new maps and new game modes for existing maps, not to reinvent the wheel.

I'm new to the forum. It isn't my first post, but I indeed have not met you yet.

So just because it involves capturing something it's suddenly like Ctf? And that's the only similarity you can think of? You can go ahead and not like me because of the imaginary arrogance in my post all you like; it just shows you aren't a very cool person in the first place. Go ahead and take everything as a personal attack, it doesn't bother me.

It is a pretty big middle finger to the community. I never said it wasn't. I just don't get how it relates to ctf. If that really gets your panties in a bunch I really suggest you go talk to somebody, as you really have a problem.
This is pretty epic, good luck to that guy on his marriage proposal. xD
So just a recap on what's up with Dominion:

When:
It will be showcased in GamesCom (Cologne, Germany) and PAX Prime (Seattle, WA) (tickets have been sold out for a few months already, BUT I HAVE ONE!!!), then it'll debut to the public shortly thereafter. Zileas didn't want to nail a specific date or anything, but we're looking at anywhere between 1-3 weeks after PAX is over.

Map details:
Dominion will take place in the ruins of the mining town of Kalamanda in a map called The Crystal Scar. There will be five nodes in a circle available for capture, in any order, and they will all have different names to them (boneyard, claw, drill, refinery, windmill). Summoning platforms are off the sides of the map, and supposedly you do not get to roam the map before a set time. The outer circle with the nodes and the central area will be lit to both teams at all times. The jungle area won't have as much grass, but there are so many twists and turns and little terrain islands, there's quite a number of possibilities in how your little adventures can turn out. In addition, while there are no neutral creeps, there are small pickups available that bonus health, MS, etc. that scales with game progress somehow, including a super rune that spawns "every few minutes" similar to SR's Exalted Baron Nashor buff.

Mechanics:
The new important thing to know about in Dominion is the nodes. Nodes presumably start off in neutral status, but can be captured in about 8-10 seconds by a solo champion. More champions means faster progress. The process of capturing nodes is a channel, which can be interrupted by attacks, so you're better off trying to deal with offenders before attempting a capture. However, even if you are interrupted, your progress on capturing a node simply stalls. (I don't know how resetting works.) Progress can be viewed by the circle on the ground surrounding the node, as seen in this video. A node owned by a team will spawn minions to help attack and capture other nodes, and will also attack nearby enemies much like a turret would (although it isn't as strong as a turret). However, these functions are disabled if it is being captured (i.e. someone on the opposing team is channeling).

In order to win a game of Dominion, you must drain the opposing team's Nexus health to 0. To do this, you must hold the majority of nodes. The bigger your node advantage, the faster the drain. Because of this, it's pretty much impossible to have a game last longer than 30 minutes, and it will likely end around 20 minutes.

Players will start with 1375 gold (one source said 1500, balls to them) and experience level 3. Ambient gold gain is much higher than in SR. Certain items are disabled, and new items are introduced. And while I haven't seen what this means yet, the recall spell has had its icon replaced.
KajitiSouls Wrote:So just a recap on what's up with Dominion:

Nice to know that you'll be there and you can inform SP about it. Also, wild guess here but I think the recall won't be available and there's the channeling spell for nodes in "b" instead.

Edit:
Finally a ranked game where amumu isn't banned! I insta-locked him and went jungle, everyone was happy with that. We crushed, our annie took them out like a boss until they surrendered when we aced them. Had 3 big teamfights only, and we nailed the 3 ults at the right time to get at least 4 in it, helped our annie rape them as she wanted and on 2 of those our Jax was split pushing so it was a pretty safe win even if they hadn't surrendered.

For next week:
Annie, the Dark Child (previously 1350 IP) will be permanently reduced to only 450 IP!
Cho'gath, the Terror of the Void (regularly 3150 IP) will be permanently reduced to only 1350 IP!
Taric, the Gem Knight (regularly 3150 IP) will be permanently reduced to only 1350 IP!

Annies, annies everywhere!

 Dominated with Malzahar

After a bad game with Spiegelmann, I decided to go Mal and dominate mid to ensure no shenanigans happen. I was going against Orianna - and had some fears I might need a lot of help - but I soon find out the enemy Orianna was terrible. Her harassment was simply poking me with her autoattacks, with an occasional ball toss (And she missed almost all of her tosses and ulted at the wrong time). Eventually that allowed me to outfarm her and push her to her tower. I pretty much dominated mid and never let her get close to me, or bother me one bit.

After Spiegelmann sacrificed himself (got killed by tower, luckily, didn't give a kill to Orianna) so I could kill Orianna, I push mid and take out the tower. Then I go top, helped Ezreal, and killed another person in a small fight there. We managed to take out the top tower too.

Later on, I was low at bottom. Renekton decides he would chase me and try to kill me. I had Malefic Visions up, and my Voidling was ready to cast. I casted Malefic Visions on him, and watch as my Voidling ate him up hard while I was running away. Close to my tower, I casted another Malefic Visions, and he starts running away. My Voidling chases after him and gets a good few hits before he goes into the brush and dies to my ability's DoT.

They eventually surrendered.
I really don't get all the disappoint with Dominion. Looks like a cool idea.

Ah, okay. I basically got it instead of Manamune. I think I got boots and a BF before one Tiamat then finished pretty normally. I'm finding Bloodthirster a lot more awesome than I gave it credit. Maybe I happened to get into a few close call 1v1/1v2 situations my last few games.

I hate to argue semantics, but how is a skill that does DoT "burst" damage? Especially one that requires you to stay on your opponent and commit for a second or two. Q does modest, instantaneous damage that farms well and allows for harass without commitment. It is mana-hungry though :<
I'll try earlier Gatling gun, but probably more like lvl3 Q > Max E
I don't find myself going for super-aggressive early kills. Usually start giving people a very hard time at lvl9 or 10 once I'm leveling Gatling anyway.

Edit: Mathcraft
Assuming a decent midgame AD of 150, attacking a player with max gatling, no phos bomb
Gatling gun hits twice per second for 5 seconds for 20% of AD per hit ->300 damage. Requires 5 second commitment and keeping opponent in range for full time duration. Additional armor shred bonus to auto-attacks
16 second CD

Max phosphorus bomb is instant 270 damage. Some MR reduction to be accounted for (~1/4 of 270. Not too much MR midgame against most champs you'd see in lane or should be focusing)
8 second CD

My priorities through early game are heavy farming and safe harass > winning lane through CS and pushing. Bomb helps me more in accomplishing this. Gatling gun would help me more in committed attacks.

But hey, I'll have both max at lvl13 and that's not very far into a game at all.
