Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread

At the moment im expecting it to go the ways of TT where certain champs override others to where barely anyone plays it.

Also not sure why they hyped it so much even though its not coming out for a couple of months. I thought they wanted to stop doing that after the Magma Chamber incident.

This was another great game as corki I am loving him a lot! I think those nerfs to his q were a secret buff. It makes you not put points into his Q till you are forced to!

Exactly. I don't see any similarities between it and ctf at all. What's even more humorous is how he's comparing it to ctf on a 2d game with servers so crappy it probably won't even be playable.

It shows that nobody is happy no matter what happens. I'm excited for this mode and I don't even know how to play LoL (yet).

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't see the post from this person who I've never seen before until he decides to come in here and trash on my opinion.

It has similarities to CTF with specific points of the map to capture and instead of returning with them to your base you hold onto them where they lay.
Just because it's not exactly identical to CTF doesn't mean it isn't alike. I don't even know you yet and I already don't like you with that arrogance attached to your post.

This game mode is a huge f-u to the people that wanted a new map to play regular games on, that's why I'm not happy and people that disagree can jump off a cliff for all I care.

The way the community is reacting to this announcement makes me sick honestly. Riot puts in all this effort to make a completely new map and game mode and people are angry that it's not just a new map. They could've not announced ANYTHING at all this week and people would be happier with Riot. Personally, I'm really looking forward to the new game mode. I think it looks interesting and I like how they're trying to innovate and see what else they can do in the moba genre.

Why doesn't it sound that great? I think it sounds really fun and exciting. Shorter game modes will be really nice if it is indeed shorter. Also the reason they announced it this week is because Dota 2 announced their $1.6million championship this week. Also, Riot said "League of Legends: Dominion will make it into your daily play schedule shortly after PAX." PAX is at the end of August so I think we can expect Dominion sometime in September, which is not that long of a wait. The difference between Dominion and other updates in the past that never were released is that Dominion is already playable, has a shorter time to be released, and, judging from the trailer, seems to be ready for release. I will agree though that they shouldn't have hyped it like they did; made it seem like something would actually be released this week.

It doesn't sound that great to me, because, i was expecting a new map to come out that was something like we already had. Not a map specifically for a new mode that, to me, sounds broken as hell. Granted i have yet to try this map out, but it just sounds like you can pick any type of champion that would be lane dominant or good at 1v1 and win.

Honestly the only reason im miffed is because i was hoping the hype was going to be riot confirming something they announced ages ago to be coming out, but they'd rather add something else to the list of 'coming soon'

So many people raging on the forums over the fact that Riot put something out that was contrary to the hype.

I'm not mad. At least Riot developed something that at least gives you a change of scene from the 3v3/5v5 matches that we play on daily. Jesus effing Christ, some people just need to stop putting high hopes on certain things and be thankful for what's being given. >_>

I just got Soulstealer on Lux. Excellent way to get extra AP. I never got it before because i thought flat ap would be better than a snowball item, but i kept my kills and assists on par with my deaths so it worked out.

Lost though. Irelia and Jax got too fed. The final teamfight we had my team all died before i even finished my 3 combo

Ehh Dominion sounds okay but I would have preferred another field for regular matches. I guess I'll wait and see how it turns out before making a final judgement.

I've got to ask what the logic behind this is and the build order. And from your previous post, why would you not still level Q?

Awesome video will, staged but fun. Loved the first one where they moved enemies around like they wanted.

Had a very dangerous ranked game earlier, I picked singed and team was noc, ryze, ww and akali. No jungler. Enemy was Cait, Nunu, Malphite, Kayle and xin zhao, no jungler either. First I went wtp at no one jungling but w/e. So we started and Ryze did HORRIBLE MID, he was 0/3/0 and he lost 2 towers in mid, and we were all having a horrible laning face really, so no one could help mid, as soon as someone went there their lane started going down.
Long story short our Ryze got steroids and turned SSJ3 or some pomegranate cause he ended like 17/6/11, all of the rest of us had like 4 kills each, and our noc was also good pushing the whole time getting 6 buildings. By the time I got tankier I made great initiations and was able to dive their whole team like nothing. It also helped us to get like 4 dragons and 2 barons

36-10-36 in my last 3 Corki games. Feels good to do 3 and 5 mans with people I know and am on Vent with.

I did try one game with a Tiamat instead of Manamune. Didn't really notice anything.
