Cool stuff bro.
Make some 2D sidescrolling game and sell it on Xbox Live. I'll buy it.

Boy loves girl. Girl gets taken away by evil parents. Girl and boy both use weapons to go through various levels, and they end up at the final stage, the parents. Some how you manage to convince them that you are a good boyfriend by fighting your way to get just to her. You spare the parents, and you got the girl.
Short notice concept xD In one stage she digs underground to get into your house, but your already digging underground and you get to her house and shes gone.

Totally loved it. Please tell me you're making and will finish this game, instead of just getting stick to projects like i've always been. ;__;
Seriously, looking a lot forward into this! :>

It's happened to me a lot of times, but this time, this time I have graphics done that I really like. I'm gonna start with something small, maybe just make the player get from point A to point B and then expand on that with the idea I have on mind.

These are cool. I'm a really big fan of pixel art; is this the best you can do? (I don't mean for that to sound offensive.)
Any well done pixel art is amazing to me, including old sprites from PS1 games (and older, of course.) Are you able to do more detailed pixel art or are you just beginning to dabble in it?
2011-08-02, 03:41 PM
Well, you could say that I'm just starting out. I've done a couple in the past, but it's not something I practice a lot. This is the biggest, animated one I've done:
![]() But with some more effort, I think I could make some pretty well detailed sprites. Also, one of the reasons these are so simple is that it allows me to spend more time programming instead of spriting. I'm glad you liked them. And if you really like pixel art, check this out (Click on Blue or Red series).

Made an health bar, health recovery item and two background buildings. I'm no architect and I don't live near tall buildings, so how do they look?
2011-08-02, 08:29 PM
Is that all pixels? It looks like it but I can't be sure. If so, that's amazing.
2011-08-02, 08:31 PM
Jesus christ it's lovely! The buildings are awesome too! :>
Glad to know you're also programming it, so you won't find many obstacles in the way. :o Because programming was the thing that made me stop from my previous attempts on making anything, since i ended up with a storyline written, a storyboard, and basic graphics, but when i looked down to it, i figured out that i had absolutely no idea on how to make that work. Lol I actually like how simple the background is, really. :O

I've slowed down in projects before, but I think I found out what the problem was. I used to get too entangled in features and ideas that are not within reach at the moment. So, I'm taking it one step at a time and taking my time. Create the graphics, create the background, add movement, etc. Also, posting small updates seems to help this moving along, since I'll look like a dumbass if I don't release a finished projects after showing off so much. : P

Hope i can play it on NG once it's finished. :>

Yup, that tends to happen a lot. In fact, I want to try something out with these sprites/game, but first, I'll finish something playable... like a prologue.
Right now I'm working on drawing clouds.

The colours you've chosen to represent the building distances are wonderful.
edit: ...is anyone who's played Catherine thinking about the most efficient way to move the boxes?

Looks awesome looking, Loose. I hope you finish this project - I'm a sucker for pixel platformers.
