Ask a Bowman Thread.
Hello again.

Need some assitance. How exactly do you make enough money to buy SE 20? My cousin failed one and were several million in debt at the moment. at 122, i will be losing money quite quickly at newties as i can't loot all the time. And i seriously need some funding to try another SE 20 >.>

No nx either.

Beowolf Wrote:Ok, So I read all the post in this link before coming up with any questions, and this post seems to address one of my key issues. Is the 10 in this formula from Boost/Expert? If so I asume from the way its added up here that its cumulitve with pots, correct?

Also where is this 14 coming from?

Thanks
Jason

14 is from the glove, and the 10 is from the mastery. 2 from shoes and 4 crom cape, 118 from bow.

 Spoiler

This is similar to the build I'm hoping to end up with, assuming I get that far. I think the Frostprey 30 book does exist, I'm pretty sure I've heard it mentioned around before. The only main difference between our builds is that I maxed Marksman Boost before Sharp Eyes; I started raising it above level 10 at 138. After Sharp Eyes I'll be working on Pierce too (to 21), and then Snipe. (Is the disconnecting still there if you go over the damage cap? If so, I'll probably get less Pierce and do Snipe earlier, depending on how much damage I can do by then.) But I like your proposed build Itay, I might use parts of it for my own. Big Grin

FP 30 exists, one of my guildies made a mule in Khaini, bought the book, then server xfered the mule over to Broa to get it O-o.

Build is fine. SE first wasn't too damage-efficent, but you're already over that part and well into boost.

Snipe vs Pierce is a big issue, for now Pierce is better but eventually (could be next patch, could be over a year) the snipe cap will raise to 199k, making it probably the better choice. But yea, Pierce for now.

Any help with my previous question? Big Grin

But anyway my build I plan on following is below. Comments and suggestions are welcome.

120- 2 SE, 1 Hurricane
121- 2 SE, 1 mastery
122- 2 SE, 1 Phoenix
123- 3 SE
124- 1 SE, 2 Hurricane (3 SE if book is passed/if i accumulate enough money)
125- 2 mastery, 1 Hurricane (3 SE if book is passed/if i accumulate enough money)
126- 3 Hurricane (3 SE if book is passed/if i accumulate enough money)
127- 3 hurricane (3 SE if book[s] is passed/if i accumulate enough money)
128- 3 mastery (3 SE if book is passed/if i accumulate enough money)
129- 3 mastery (3 SE if book is passed/if i accumulate enough money)
130- 1 mastery, points saved: nothing left without new books (3 SE if book is passed/if i accumulate enough money)

That's all for now.

That's all for now.

I believe there may be other threads / posts dedicated to this topic. I.E How to make money in Maple Story. I doubt you will get much of a response here.

I am a medium level merchant in my world (60-120M/week) so yeah I have experience making mesos and NX in several ways, but there are many different methods out there, if you wouldl like to PM me I will give you some suggestions, but as in all things Merchanting = lots of work! & Time!

You still didn't answer the question. Does the 10 atk from mastery combine with atk pots like apples and warrior elixers.

Reason why I ask is the 15 atk bonus I get from Beholder buffs on my DrK does not stack with pots so I want to know if this is the same in this case.

Thanks
Beowolf

PS Sorry for double post. =( Forgot I had one already.

Yes it stacks. The 10 attack from mastery is passive, making it stick with the attack potions, whereas the Beholder buffs from the Drk are active, and that doesn't make them stack with other active stuff that boosts the same skill.

Grapes or Boats?

And yes it passively stacks. Sorry for not answering that first. Think of the +10 from mastery as +10 to you hat or something.

Hi,

I was just wondering whether you lose or gain money from training at Typhons at lvl 9X. I have average equips and my attack range is 1062-2500 (or something like that... Not too sure about the maximum). I have lvl 27 Arrow Rain. I know previously that the eggs dropped a lot of stuff, but since that's been fixed, do Typhons give a source of income or does it just leech money because of high potion costs?

Thanks!

Generally, pot costs are pretty high there. It used to be great for money, because Tobis and Scrolls dropped like crazy, so now it's just a massive pot burner.

They need a 3rd Archer that uses lightning based skills. Then we'd be even more awesome.

You can loot by throwing out a puppet every 5 minutes, but the pot costs are on the higher side. The EXP is worth it IMO if you can afford it.

I agree, that would be bad ass.

This makes me sad... If you have average equips, then i must have trash equipments, cause 2500 is my max damage too Eek

Anyways, onto my new question: I have begun adding points into HP and i would like to know when a new potion becomes more efficient. At the moment i have 3672 hp and 2202 mp. I am using barbarians and sorcerers as well as pizzas (haven't had time to restock, so i'm over potting right now at newties).

What is the most cost efficient potion for me to be using to recover HP? Am i still good to go with barbarians?

Or you can link me to a potion guide or something of the like Cool

Your HP is similar to mine (Bloodmasteryftw), and I generally use 4 different HP pots, but you could use as easily do this:
Every Newtie Hit, use an Ice Pop
Every Nest Hit, use 2 Barbs
Sorcs for MP

I go a little over the edge, and use White potions and Orange potions to keep my HP just above 3k

I probably quoted my maximum damage wrong then T.T I just look at the minimum every time. And yeah... I did quote it wrong XD. It's ~1900. My HP is around 2500 XD. Sorry about the confusion, and thanks for the replies to my question. I'm just considering Typhons because of the exp. I'm losing money where ever I train right now. (haven't gotten the hang of gobies yet) So I was just thinking that if I'm losing money, I may as well just go somewhere with better exp. Probably won't be able to afford it, but I'll see XD. Thanks again.

Technically, Pizzas are the most cost efficient potions. It's just that when you use them, you have to consider both HP and MP.

Just following Kevvl's hit guide (since I have no idea how much damage Newties do XP)
Newtie Hit - If MP < 400, use 2 Pizzas; else, Ice Cream Pop.
Every Nest Hit - Use two barbs
For MP - Sorcerors.

That's the only situation where Pizzas could be used without overpotting or risking death. It would only save a slight amount of potion money.
