What are you playing?
Is anyone else picking up Catherine today? I think I might but I really don't know yet.

Hit 70 in DFO, kinda-sorta restarting maple, finishing up Sly 2.

I am on Friday. The thing is, no one can tell YOU if you'll like it, because it's so... different. Play the demo on the PSN.

No I don't like playing demos. I'm pretty cash poor right now and vidya is expensive so I am trying to strategically plan which games to sell back to Gamestop for three dollars each.

Catherine itself alone makes just the game worthwhile. And ATLUS. And friggin hard difficulty.

Well I picked up Catherine last night for the PS3 but I haven't gotten a chance to play it yet. I should be able to at least start it later this afternoon.

What?! I thought I posted in here that I got a really good deal on a PS3. So I bought one duh

If you're wondering why I chose the PS3 version over the 360 version, reviews said that the game relies heavily on the d-pad, and, well, the PS3 has a much better d-pad.

Ah @ the last part

But @ everything else, it's because you were the most anti-playstation 3 member not two years ago. Now you're... buying PS3 games on launch week. Feels good. Welcome to our team.

Just got my copy of Catherine yesterday. Ran around my house in the boxers and platformed around my house and nearby surroundings. Shit was like parkour. Anyways, after having a bit of fun with the goodies that came with the game, it was time to actually play the game.

It's really enjoyable, I'm so far in the middle of the Clock Tower (Floor 6). Story is good as expected. Talking to bar customers plays out sort of like Social Links in Persona somewhat, only a lot less complex- you still do have to plan out how you talk to them because of different times of when people enter and leave the bar, but the dialogues are way simpler and shorter and obviously being able to cover everyone over the night as the key difference. And of course, the puzzle gameplay is amazing.

I've been playing on Normal mode so far. So far, pretty challenging, but doable. I'm curious why the original Japanese release was so hard, though. Maybe I'll look that up some time.

Not knowing the proper order to talk to people in the bar is really pissing me off. I also wish I knew how much conversation with each character affects their relationship. Do you HAVE to talk until it goes from pink to grey or can you stop when you know they'll just uselessly repeat themselves? And does time pass when you listen to their pomegranatety after-thoughts?

edit: I'm just starting day 6 and oh my god this story. I hope it's not going where it seems to be (specifically the stuff that hates his dad has been saying) because I REALLY like Vincent and don't want to see it go down that path Sad

What kind of choices are you guys making? I am trying to make myself as "bad" as possible because I wanna bang Catherine. She will be my waifu.

I beat it yesterday with the best ending (True Lover trophy) and saved everyone (on easy). Going through normal now, trying to stay in the middle but it's pineappleing hard to guess what other people are saying in the confessional sometimes. No matter what, I'll get a new ending so it's not that big a deal but it would be nice to get the best middle ending so I don't have to try this pomegranate again (though there are 8 endings so...)

It's a really good game but it takes a ridiculous left turn at one point and I feel like that hurt it a lot.

Make sure you get the true lover ending before you stop playing though, Greg. Erica has a pretty revealing scene Wink

Also Babel is haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaard. I can scale blocks like no ones business in Golden Theatre but my best on Babel (Altar) is 101

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

Great game, it's sort of old by now but the story is decent and it keeps the mood/feeling of World Of Darkness, not done with it yet, remade my first character already.

Even feeding is somewhat fun and there are so many ways to do it.
