3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton
I'd buy it for sure if they made it.
Freaking delays.

Son of a peach.

edit: didn't finish reading the article before posting this. 20 free games is AMAZING. Totally worth the loss of $80. Well, no, not at all, but still good.
Wait so, they reduced the price, but if you bought it at full price you get 20 free games?

Dayummmm.

Sucks that it's 10 and 10 instead of 20 of our choosing, because I can't think of 10 good NES games. But I'm pumped as hell to get 10 GBA games.

edit: ugh, seems like we don't even get to pick the 20 games and a lot of what they're giving us is garbage http://kotaku.com/5825501/nintendo-launc...eshop-bwah

Couldn't throw a Pokemon or something in there, Nintendo?
I got my 3DS as a gift and 3 out of the 5 GBA games announced are ones I like, with the other 2 being ones I want to play, so I'm totally fine with this.

Not sure if serious.

NES library is 700+. Sure, most of it is crap, but there's a lot more than 10 good games. I'll just chalk it up to laziness on your part.
Of that small list of confirmed GBA games, only Mario Kart interests me, and only by a bit due to todays standards of MKWii.
20 free downloadable games for buying it early? Makes up for the price difference. Hope europe gets this too

Edit: Super Mario Bros.™, Donkey Kong Jr.™, Balloon Fight™, Ice Climber™ and The Legend of Zelda™ are confirmed for europe, as well as Yoshi’s Island™: Super Mario™ Advance 3, Mario Kart™: Super Circuit, Metroid™ Fusion, WarioWare™, Inc.: Minigame Mania and Mario vs. Donkey Kong™ from the GBA.
Sweet. Are these available now?
*downloads them tonight*
Holy shi- if only they had a red one, my life would be complete. Still gotta wait till the 23rd to get the other game I want...
This makes me want a 3DS. The price was just too high, but I would've paid at least $200 for one, but $170 makes it even better.
I have to tell my dad about this. Maybe he'll help me get one as a birthday present, instead of just keep asking me what I want without any plausible result. lol
Saw that article earlier. Absolutely getting one now.

Not yet, the NES games are out on sept 1st for early buyers, the GBA games will be out by the end of the year. At least, thats what they're doing for europe. Assuming the rest of the world is the same.

It is.

By the way, you need to take your 3DS into the eShop at least once before August 12th to be eligible for the "Ambassador" program (to get the free games when they become available)
I can't help but think how terrible the sales had to be for Nintendo to drop the price like this.

Supposedly only moved 700k units worldwide from april to june.

wtp, NES games will offer multiplayer when updated.

edit: and more than 20 to choose from (just that we get 20 each)
I don't know how to measure sales honestly. I see it sold millions of units when it just came out, but after that? Did OoT help hardware sales?

I just know that Nintendo needs to move fast before the Vita release this year.
