Make sure you have a good laning partner as well. A partner that doesn't synch well with her will be a waste of time :/

He runs craptons of armor pen runes and gets 1 damage item. Then the rest of the items are armor items with damage as a secondary effect (sometimes).

That's more like a tanky DPS build, not full tank.

When I say "tank" I mean basically all tank items - enough so that they have no damage and are useless in a team fight except for their ultimate =\

Who was saying AD was better? Might be a little easier to last hit with, but with ArP you are gonna be hitting true damage on squishy people the first couple of levels, and you're gonna have a good amount of pen throughout the game until the point where you need to build more to keep doing damage.

My 25 pen page has yet to fail me Smile

So APPARENTLY, this was all a lie? I even asked for confirmation on it and never got an answer other than an excel sheet being shown, by Purple, and confusing the pomegranate out of me. Mainly due to Purple saying that said sheet included ArP items like Ghostblade, which completely skews the results massively.

Pretty sure he meant that you could include those.
My AD vs. APen investigation is at home, and I'm at a different place for the weekend. Here are some additional considerations where AD runes shine:
--Early game for last-hitting.
--Vs. structures (lol).
--Jungling, except Dragon and Baron.
--Heavy AD scaling champs like Renekton and Lee Sin. On a unit per unit basis in my analysis, this isn't so clear, but I'm going to assume this largely applies in conjunction with the other three points.


And now, the stupid nuances of LoL that can either get you killed or save your life. See if you know what happened!
--Let's say you're chilling in a patch of grass in lane and you're soaking exp from a nearby minion feud. Suddenly, your champion starts auto-attacking them for no apparent reason.
--You all decide to huddle into a patch of grass near Dragon in an attempt to ambush the other team. Someone with Oracle's Elixir active discovered a ward inside the same patch of grass, and you all attack to destroy it. A few more seconds pass, when suddenly the enemy Jarvan IV goes DEMACIA!!!! on your ass and then all hell breaks loose as you and your team get AoE'd to death.
--After a pushing blitz down middle lane, the enemy team respawns in force, and you're forced to back off. But before you recall, your various members decide to steal jungle creeps from the other team. You recall in the grass at blue buff, when suddenly the other team jumps you and kills you.

Very well, here is the math.

Let x be ad (not including ad runes)
Let y be armour (not includind apen runes)

ad runes are an additional +15 ad
apen is +25 apen
IIRC

armour modifier: 100/(100+armour)

apen runes: damage done = 100/(100+y-25)*x
ad runes: damage done = 100/(100+y)*(x+15)

they will do equal damage when the 2 equations are equal (obv)

100/(100+y-25)*x=100/(100+y)*(x+15)
100x/(75+y)=100(x+15)/(100+y)
x/(75+y)=(x+15)/(100+y)
(100x+yx)/(75x+yx+1125+15y)=1
100x+yx=75x+yx+1125+15y
100x+yx-75x-yx-15y=1125
25x-15y=1125
5x-3y=225
x=45+0.6y

Then I shoved that last equation into excel (notice how when the ad column increases by 5, the armour column increases by 3)
This is only when the two break even, but when using the first 2 equations you find that when the armour is greater than the value you get in the final equation for a certain ad value, the ad rune's damage is higher, and vice versa.

This is actually a pretty huge balancing patch, so they can't talk about all of the affected champions in-depth without talking for like, 20 minutes.

Seems like it should be good changes all around. All the champs they talked about in the video do need some work, kinda sucks that they only nerfed panth and he will be even worse for another patch. TF/Panth ult range seems fine to me but im going to guess galio is still going to be underplayed. His ult is really strong and i think that might be holding him back. Maybe if he shield and 'wind burst" skill had a bit more utility that would help.

Your job as an ap carry is to completely destroy your enemy with as much damage as you can get, unless someone else is carrying your job is indeed to snare/slow/shield, where damage is only your secondary purpose. Lichs bane passive allows you to destroy golem/dragon/baron/turrets and aids you greatly if you happen to be 1vs1 or well in any case actually. As someone said before it gives you something to do besides positioning yourself when all your skills are on cooldown. I've over 100 games with Lux and my elo is around 1500 so I think I know what's useless and what's not on Lux. Rolleyes
I completely forgot about the MR Rolleyes. So what would be the best time to build into a sheen?
I like the change in character models coming. THIS PATCH IS GOING TO BE GREAT!

Tryndamere - move to fury system
Galio - base stats and ultimate
TF and Pantheon - Global ult range reduction, Panth buffs next patch
Corki - Something, something best thing ever, something something make him worse, something something DARK SIDE.
