Everyone could've won if they had reduced the drop rate for the GM scrolls from the beginning. People would still buy a decent amount of tickets at their shot to get GM scrolls, rich or semi-rich players could still take advantage of the availability of GM scrolls, and players that wanted to farm GT could still make a good amount of money. The problem wasn't having GM scrolls drop, it was the frequency with which they dropped.

Sounds like people are defending themselves for ripping people off so they don't feel guilty.

But catching someone (a seller) not being careful does? I might just go into the marvelous MTS and fabulous free market deals thread and go call everyone scammers.
Such two-facedness on this. (i agree on the lol @ the moral issue though)
Viaje Wrote:No, it's the seller's fault when they create an illusion of a good deal.
See my quote in your last post. (inb4 annoying response saying you did)
Viaje Wrote:When people price 10% scrolls in a range that better suits 100% scrolls, that's a scam.
No, it's pro merchanting.
Viaje Wrote:If the seller prices an item at an unintended discount, it is an entirely different scenario.
Of course it's a different scenario. If it wasn't it would be the same scenario.
Viaje Wrote:There is no rush when it comes to selling. That is, there is no missed opportunity.
That's complete BS. Proof as to why is in this event. GM scrolls dropping! Oh no, i got one now what! Sell asap before they deflate to half what they're currently worth!

Alright fine, let me say what I meant to say, "this is too stupid for an actual response, that deals with the contents of the above quoted post"

This is literally too stupid for me to respond to.
But since I already typed the words i guess i'll do it anyway.
Nope. I'm saying just because you caught someone not being careful does not make you in the right (remember the person who started this was trying to make it a moral issue. which honestly my real response is just lol.).
If you really aren't getting this (you aren't) I'd happily elaborate the concept to you, including the moral void of accidents, provided you don't insult my intelligence over my choice to convey an argument (which other people both understood and saw the validity of) in a semi-humorous way.
Or, more simply, get off your f'ucking high horse.

Like i said i don't actually care about the morality or really see it as present. I was only not ok with chicols defense of his actions from a moral stance and based on poor reasoning. And that fact that he is lying to himself. I mean he tried to lie to us as well but it obviously didn't work on me and i can't speak for anyone else. You can extend that it is "morally" wrong to even buy a mispriced item. If i did actually tie morality to such things i'd say it is a more complicated situation, and that most of the fault does lie with the seller. But in a perfectly moral ideal world no one would buy it. I could also argue that that level of morality is suspended inside the free market by mutual understanding and done so openly and plainly. Seeing as a divine power is not running maple story (even if one compares nexon to a divine power, they are hardly handing us down a solid sheet of morals to go by) It follows logically that all morality in the game is social contract. Meaning the suspended morality within the FM allows one to buy mispriced items whether mispriced out of ignorance or rush, or a simple missed keystroke, without it being a moral issue.
But again, not actually the point.

So don't blame GMS for that s'hit, bro. You know what's cute? The way you went all caps lock crazy trying to argue a point I never made.
Protip: I never said Dual Blade. That would be moronic.
Random trivia: Dual Blades were the first, and only, class in KMS to have NX skill books.

You're asserting that someone trying to make all the money he can would undercut himself.

CAPS LOCK? I WENT SHIFT KEY THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Anyway, very often I completely forget Evans even exist since they are so worthless. So that is my bad.
But, they still got the idea from KMS since KMS did it first.

From the posts on the nexon forums, it seems as though a good amount of players want the gm scrolls
to stay in golden temple.
But will nexon consider it after announcing the change?

Oh we are swearing now? XD these arguments always get so heated.
Needless to say, in life people will always be trying to rip you off in one way or another, and others will be sincere, it is up to the buyer, to see to it that he/she knows what she is buying and that it is a good deal, you can't expect to trust every random person who sells you something. And while scamming might be morally wrong, and the scammer is therefore wrong, they did not force you to buy that item, it was your own mistake, so just because they gave you the opportunity to make a mistake, doesn't mean no fault lies with the scammed.
Also that original argument when you replaced scammer with the word hacker, was not clever, and did not logically fit, so yes it was retarded.

There has been a lot of feedback regarding the scrolls and we decided it was for the best to remove it as drops. Whether or whether not these scrolls will make a come back, it hasn't been decided yet.
Thank you!"
Yep, confirmed now.
lol they make it sound like them dropping was intended. We all know that clearly they had no idea they were there.

Never said they didn't like their money. But, I don't know what we were talking about in the first place. Oh, right.
SURPRISE!
Nexon is a master of surprise. Add the scrolls for a surprise. Take the game down and remove them for a surprise!
Yay!

Studies have long shown that audiences are more likely to voice a negative reaction than they are to making known a positive reaction.
So they could give everyone 50k NX for free, and the forums would still show a stronger negative reaction than a positive one.

Yay! And now we're back to me not being sure if I should take you seriously.
Let me try this...
"We reset you SP, but now you're missing 10 points!"
Surprise?
"You needlessly deleted your Jumpstart character to make sure you got the free NX items, but we later had a server check to make sure Jumpstart characters get them too!"
Surprise?
