Intentionally selling someone 10% scrolls during a mad rush when they are trying to buy 100% scrolls is indeed a scam.

The seller knew, the buyer did not, the seller took their money and most likely ran off before the "mistake" could be noticed.

That seems wrong to me.

Nope. I'm saying just because you caught someone not being careful does not make you in the right (remember the person who started this was trying to make it a moral issue. which honestly my real response is just lol.). Although when a seller makes the mistake (horrible mispricing of an item, incorrect keystroke etc) that is, in my opinion, always their fault. It also more often than not just leads to no one buying the item as most mispricing tends to go up, not down. And just so I don't have to see the "but in item trades..." awful fallacious argument; In a trade, both parties are simultaneously buyer and seller.

If chicol had just said, yeah, so what. I would've gone alright then, your prerogative. When actually lies to me and himself about and then provides fallacious reasoning to somehow validate his actions morally, i'll point out the flaws in that thinking.

The "morality" doesn't mean s'hit to me. It's the flawed logic that i do not like.

No, it's the seller's fault when they create an illusion of a good deal.
When people price 10% scrolls in a range that better suits 100% scrolls, that's a scam.

If the seller prices an item at an unintended discount, it is an entirely different scenario.
There is no rush when it comes to selling. That is, there is no missed opportunity.

Oh, we all know it is a scam. Save for the poor soul who had his panties in a bunch trying to get his gear done before SC. Trying to prance around it is just pathetic.

Just want to point out: They about doubled the price of the tickets; they must have believed that we would still think it worth the doubled cost to go there. Is it worth it for the tiny chance of getting reverse or timeless stuff? I think not. And the place doesn't seem as great for exp as it used to be. I don't think I will go there again at all even to use up remaining free tickets. This makes it more plausible to me that they really did intend the GM scrolls to drop. A buck per hour and half for what's left is just not worth it.

They were meant to be a surprised! But in typical fashion GMS has more b'itches than any other server.

Regret not taking advantage of those.

Me stupid.

Well, as he/she said;

Quote:100% scrolls are the ones being removed from the Golden Temple drop list.

There has been a lot of feedback regarding the scrolls and we decided it was for the best to remove it as drops. Whether or whether not these scrolls will make a come back, it hasn't been decided yet.

Thank you!

It doesn't really say anywhere that they were supposed to drop and in the official notice on the website where the Golden Temple: Equipment Explosion was noticed, they NEVER said anything about scrolls. They only mentioned weapons there dropping and some chair. That Hime person is just talking bullshìt just to make it look more innocent.

I don't know if this is true in this case, but surprises is hard to pull of when we all go our noses down the extraction abyss, so it is not THAT far fetched. Gamers like their surprises, especially when rumors are starting all around the server and people get hyped. Granted, the drop rate of these scrolls was just a little too extreme

These people willingly played, with their own time characters they thought were going to be interesting, however if they had taken 5 minutes to look at the game instead of trusting a total stranger like an idiot, they wouldn't be at a loss. Hacking, ehhhhhh, more like teaching a few people a lesson.

My oh my. what a leap of imagination it was for me to debunk that argument.

This is literally too stupid for me to respond to.

You say that when the seller puts in an incorrect keystroke, therefore resulting in a very low price for a high price item, and a loss of money for them, it is their fault, but when a low price item is sold at a high price, and the buyer doesn't take the time to even look at the item, which takes 1-3 seconds, it isn't their fault?

For sure. Honestly, if I was a game maker and someone just kept spoiling everything I worked so hard to make I would start getting pissed off and try to slip in surprises wherever and whenever possible.

There are plenty of people out there who see the word "Timeless" and think "OMG THAT IS WORTH SO MUCH"!

By your logic, the price of tickets will go down after the server check.
The fact that it won't proves your stance invalid.

Bullshit.
This is the same company that took a class from KMS and made it pay-to-play.

Sigh, I'm seriously annoyed by the fact that they can't code for fùcking shìt. I'm an intermediate and I could basically script everything they mess up so much better. Only if they'd hire people who have the same attitude as me, who want to fix simple typos and bugs to make the game so much smoother.

If you talk to the NPC before you go the NPC does say "various of scrolls" You wouldn't think they aren't talking about normal scrolls, since well all monster drop scrolls...No reason to point out the obvious...Maybe it's the White Scrolls?

Takebacker Wrote:So it's the sellers fault when the buyer screws up, but when the seller screws up it's the sellers fault? That's basically what you're telling me.

The difference is in causation.

When the seller screws up, the buyer didn't contribute to it in any way. The seller did it all by himself. The buyer may have taken advantage, but he did not scam. He did not trip the seller up. If this particular buyer didn't buy, someone else would, because the item is already up there for sale for the too-low price. (The saintly thing to do would be to buy the item and then sell it back to the seller at the same price, but few people would actually do that).

When the buyer screws up, the seller does all he can to trip him up. It's the seller who puts up an item that looks like another, at a price that resembles that of the other, and sometimes even mislabels their shop (I remember shops that actually said "attack glove" and sold those nub claws) in order to cause hasty buyers to make a mistake. Yes, the buyers *should* have read the description, but if you want to go that way, there are no scams whatsoever in Maple. It's all just stupid people who should have been more careful.

octopusprime Wrote:The difference is when the person is tricked on what they are buying actually.

If the buyer was smart enough, he would have checked the scroll before pressing accept, so its all buyer's fault accepting the trade w/o checking the scroll. just stop trying.

Double bulls'hit. Dual Blade is NOT A PAY-TO-PLAY CLASS NO MATTER HOW MANY TIME YOU SAY AS SUCH. And if anything KMS told them to do it since KMS wanted it to be a limited class in the first place. AND NEED I REMIND YOU HOW KMS WAS THE FIRST VERSION TO PUT MASTERY BOOKS IN THE CASH SHOP?

So don't blame GMS for that s'hit, bro.

This too.

The only bit of intent indicated in this post is the intent to remove the scrolls.
They easily could have not known they were in there until people starting voicing it, but decided "Well, pineapple it. More money for us."
