On another note, anyone know how many +atk I need to get my dagger glowing red?

Well i got 1 gfa, 9 1h sword scrolls, 9 polearm and i scrolled a perfect 2h vip axe last night for like 100m. i'm kinda happy. i wanted to make a glove though =(

Possibly +40 attk from base stats for pink/red aura. When my ewand 5 turned red/pink it was at 184mattk. Green was 178mattk.

I was counting on the drops being intentional so I could perfect my weapons when the scrolls were
cheap enough. ;_;

Of course it was unintended. If it had been intentional, they'd have advertised these scrolls dropping right along the Reverse, Timeless, and Maple weapons.
However, stopping them dropping doesn't require a maintenance. In fact, pretty sure they did that before taking the servers down - I spent the last hour before maintenance at Blue Goblins and got nothing but Maple Weapons and a single Chair.
I'm kinda relieved, actually. Was feeling derelict in my duty for not using all my free invitations. And boy did I get a lot. For once, Nexon's separate cash shops policy came back to bite them.
Now I might still use a few, for maple weapons to fuse, and the chance of reverse/timeless weapons, but it no longer feels as high-priority.

Anyway... are 5 hours enough to remove all the "unintended" GM scrolls from MTS and people's inventories, shops, and storage? Or are they just going to try to do something for PvP lag or other "connection issues"?

We shall see, I guess.

It took them that long to find out? I mean, people were spamming this on several fansites and the official Nexon forum after an hour already. I'd be mad if they would take the scrolls away, though...

They were still dropping, right before the server check I got a 2H Axe Atk.

I'm going to laugh if the "certain types of scrolls" are White Scrolls, and they leave in the GM ones

Haha, my friend just told me that around 1min before the SC, he went around to all the people desperately smegaing to buy GM scrolls, and sold a bunch of 10%s for 200m

better not remove GM scrolls from people's inventory, if they do that we want compensations for those who bought tickets

Ahhhhh, once again another lovely little "event" where certain players were able to make perfect weapons and hoard back some scrolls while the other 90% of the players get screwed over.

Very similar to the Dark Token incident at Jr. Newties. I wonder if this was not just an event designed to make money, and to avoid the hate from fans and gamer sites they call it an accident and stop it with an "emergency" server maintenance (conspiracy theories ftw). Either that or they just took the droptables copypasta from another version and forgot to check if the 100% scroll IDs looked ok. I do not think the WS is the cause. They will probably keep dropping, the rates for them was much lower after all.

At least this time, not even the poor/non NX users were left out. Free tickets to all different CS inventory types (explorer, DB, Aran and so on).

They should have removed them as well, rather than just making them stop dropping. THIS is game breaking, now they'll be duped to hell and back and once again the hard working legits will be screwed over.

If you expect Nexon to remove anything...They would have removed the duped sword scrolls and perfect BWGs that from MTS last month.... but they didn't and they won't...

So, end result? MORE MAP CRASHES!!!! Till the hackers have every one of these scrolls flooding the markets!

Didn't EMS's PMDs drop this stuff from regular minidungeon stuff though? (skeles, newties, etc) There couldn't have been much copy paste involved because no foreign PMD event had these drops from these mobs.

If the GM scrolls dropping was ACTUALLY unintended, i'm going to stick with the "they meant to have them drop 60/10%s and wrote the itemID off by 1 thus making them drop" theory.
