Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread
Eddikins Wrote:We'll see. Someone posted on the forums that Lux has a phase every teamfight where all her spells are on cooldown and she has nothing to do, and Shurelia was 'investigating' it. I also read today shes being doing some 'feel' changes to her and Morgana like Kog and Ez got.

So far I've been playing ap lux more than support lux, because you'll probably not going to be able to cast your spells twice in a real teamfight. Im doing pretty well, only had one game where I couldn't get 20 mejai stacks.
The beginning of the match was heavily marred by massive latency spikes happening to players on both sides (including me). We were hit heavily, so initially we were behind quite a bit, in towers and in deaths.

This became such a huge problem we were discussing surrender at 20 minute mark. But we - for some reason - kept pushing on. Our Maokai was doing well in the crappy situation we were in.

During mid-game teamfights, it became a back-and-forth thing. He would bum rush a carry and pop his ult, while we followed in. Sometimes we won the teamfights, other times we made mistakes and had to retreat. Otherwise, all of the teamfights were evenly matched.

This game became so nail-biting that I decided for the sake of my team and for my survival, I had to go full off-tank (Mao was already our full tank, but I realized if I didn't get heavy damage mitigation, I would be squishy as hell). As a result, I got tons of armor and MR, yet still had Wriggles and Triforce at the very end.

Late game, things became more tense. We attempted to get Baron at least once, but that didn't work out (we retreated after enemy GP ulted on Baron). We managed to push and take out their mid inhibitor. A later push allowed us to take out top and mid inhibitor. However, things weren't over yet; the other team was still fighting very hard.

Later, the enemy team got Baron and attempted a push themselves. However, our awesome Maokai goes in, pops his ult, and tanks the damage. Vayne takes out one, then two, then three enemy champs during the ensuring chase. We then pushed all the way down, took out the 2 inhibitors. Then we saw it was possible to end the match for good. Mao goes in and tanks the damage, while Vayne painstakingly takes out the Nexus towers bit by bit. We were successful in the effort. By the time, I had respawned and rushed into the enemy base to help out. Since the enemy team was distracted by focusing on Mao and Vayne, I decided to go ahead and start wrecking the Nexus. I started getting increasingly focused, but I ignored it. Nexus was now halfway down. I kept going, and with a final hit, +50 gold appears and game was over.

Also...the enemy Veigar. So much freaking burst. He likely had over 600 AP by the time game ended. He was killing our squishies either one shot, two shot, or using his entire spell combo.

Ive never played Support Lux because the only real support she brings is a shield that barely shields any damage.

Most Lux games i play if we have a teamfight that we lose, its because im the only one alive at the back, with everything on cooldown. I farm well if im not zoned, and i have enough AP to do damage, its just unless i have blue buff permanently on me, you have like 7 or so second cooldowns on Q and E and all you can do is throw out your 50 damage protection shield lol.

I believe this video is edited (don't take it too seriously!), but hilarious nevertheless. xD
Look at the comments on that video LOL.
Ok.

Ok.

I had to downvote the non-believers that didn't say "Ok".

Ok.

Everytime Rammus is brought up, ok-fest ensures.

Ok?

I wonder if we should make a "Rammus ok" thread in the Shenanigans forum just for the lulz and kicks? xD

I'm extremely confused. How did this even get changed? I haven't touched the thread since I last posted in it however many days ago.
I know Riot considers Rumble OP and even Gragas to be secretly OP (EU meta is ahead of NA, etc etc)
Other OPs? Nidalee, Mord, Udyr? This is a surprisingly hard question. TF, Yorick, and Alistar?
Mostly the "unique picks/bans" Euro teams were running in Dreamhack. AP Gragas, AP Alistar, Rumble, there were probably more.

Udyr's a given, he's essentially lanewick 2.0.

I almost considered Mord UP, but his Ulti is really the only thing that needs buffing, he's a good lane sustainer otherwise.
You can't play LoL on a Mac, huh? I have a Mac for a day (dormmate was desperately wanting a PC to play some PC game).
Not anymore, no.

Annie, Malz, Corki, Jarvan maybe.

You really dislike the way she was designed that much? It's the only thing that makes her a fitting caster for me. All of her skill shots take great skill in using the right way. Her q is already hard to land on one target, try two. Her w has the potential to hit 4 champions, good luck with that. Her e has the potential to slow and hit 5 targets, good luck with that too. Her laser is pretty easy to dodge for anyone that's reasonably fast (think teemo rank 2 boots maxed his movement speed skill) and again has the potential to hit 5. If all of that wasn't enough you also got her passive which you may or may not utilize depending on the situation. For all these 'complications' Lux has, I think it's a good thing your cd's are long enough to overthink how you should place your spells in the best way. Besides if you get 40% cdr (like you should) and a lichs bane (which you might late-game) you aren't not busy during any stage of the teamfight I guarantee it.

Not sure what you are trying to say.

Q is not hard to hit. First character i ever played is Morgana so i can bind people fine. W is easy to catch everyone if you manuvere while casting and everyone is in range. E isnt hard to hit more than one person either, especially if they are clumped together.
In teamfights i bind 2 people, E at least 2 people and Laser on average 3 people. After that i have to wait to do anything. That is my point. I try to get Blue as much as i can on Lux and that does help, but at points when i dont have it, teamfights go very fast, and 8 second cooldowns dont cut it.

And why would anyone get Lich Bane on Lux when it defeats the purpose of her amazing range.
Lich bane is a core item to good lux's eddi. You can't rush it but after you have a deathcap/morello tome you should be able to get one. It really does work great with
her combo if you time it correctly, and it stacks on top of her passive damage too.

Quote:It isn't an Annie glitch, it's an AoE glitch where the game doesn't translate which enemies are alive to distribute the damage. If there are 3 minions, and one JUST died, it takes time for the client to respond and in that time if you did AoE damage to the 3, it would do 3 sets of damage to the 2 targets.
This is how the double damage glitch worked on aoe casters.

I'm guessing ray did it if you didn't. Also thanks for fixing it, much nicer on the old eyes.
When a lich bane becomes useful, getting in range to use it would be suicidal on Lux. Her passive is helpful early game, not late, and her cooldowns are too awful to be any good for proccing Lich anyway :/

My point is that TO ME her cd's are fine because it gives me time to make sure that every one of her skills can be used to their full potential in a teamfight where the chaos is already so incredible. Lux in particular can use this because all of her skills require good positioning and timing, while still having to worry about who to focus and such like every champion has to. I've always considered lichs bane a great item on Lux. It has great synergy with her passive and enables her to do a lot more damage. I usually take it after boots, deathcap, (another ap item depending on the situation), if we're being on the offensive side. She can kill golem/baron/dragon that much quicker, she destroys turrets now and deals more damage in a teamfight if safely positioned for AA. It kind of gives her that special something that she needs late-game. Not to mention that it gives m resist and speed as well, which are never bad for a caster. Also it gives her only non-skill shot ability (AA) a lot more OOMPH, which can be nice against people that are good at avoiding or have an insane amount of speed.
I usually save lich bane for later on lux because its really expensive and I'd rather have fast ap than some extra damage on my autoattacks
