FYI - White Scrolls
Being honest, This event is pretty smart.
Yes it fucks over hard working legits (the few that are left, myself being one of them) but it also shifts a massive profit away from hackers. Basically If anyone gonna break this game, then let it be the maker, not some stuck up little script kiddies. And in the end.. it is just a game... even if you put the effort into it.

Actually they can profit even more massively with this event. Reset the timer in the Golden Temple and keep on farming those GM scrolls. They're just going to drive the deflation even more, like always.

lol i always go on vacation when something terribad happens to the economy or something exciting occurs :C

Well now my reverse equinox is even more in the crapper. 7/9 60% scrolls is going to be nothing compared to the 9/9 ones now...

And i thought my gear was getting better when my damage range went over 10k finally. I guess i'll just be one of those people that gets KSed to hell because i can't OHKO anything i train on. Will also be one of those people who gets kicked out of a party because i don't have high enough dnubamage to kill stuff (yes this has happened a lot; doesn't help that i'm a buccaneer and have an LOL54 base dex that everyone deems nub)

If GM scrolls are made widely available even after this event, then this would be a good move. Otherwise it's going to kill this game for new-comers...

That damn Viaje! Always starting up dumbass arguments, assuming he's constantly right, and stretching the pages with his replies! Someone needs to stop him!

...oh?
It wasn't me?

That's weird. Pretty sure it's been established that it's always my fault.
lolololol

True fact.

The fact that scrolls are one-time usable means that they won't be persistently in the market.
Eventually, they will once again be in the hands of the few and the rich.

And the dupers.

Though knowing the way Nexon works, once something is released it continues to come back in cycles. So we'll likely be seeing another event like this in the somewhat near future.

Dupers would be included in "the few".

But, yes, it can probably be assumed that, if no where else, we'll see these scrolls every time Golden Temple comes back.

It does create a bizarre scenario though as scrolling new weapons will become a seasonal affair for many people.

Finally I have an opportunity to make a decent sword, course I'll take advantage of it. The question is, can I get the set of 9 scrolls by the time the event is done.

I've already become victim to seasonal upgrades with the availability of Vega's Scrolls, so having to wait for GT to come back (hopefully with 1 free ticket each time) is not a huge problem.

Question: assuming I have enough scrolls for one 1h sword, and I need a tradeable one, would I be better off scrolling a Pyrope (fast(4)) or a Dragon Carabella (fast(5))? It's a ~15 w.att difference at base (possibly more, if I can find a well-Makered Carabella). Does the speed make up for that?

I'm not sure about IS but if I recall a speed difference is about 8-11% depending on the weapon/class, so I figure that the fast 4 would be better if you're fairly gear'd.

not a pally/hero guy, but if you are going to pick between those two, the pyrope would be much better, especially after considering the extra attack from shield, gloves, shoes (if), BoE, etc.

but i myself would rather scroll a VIP, it's around 30 attack difference with the pyrope, and benefits from SI still

Like two days before this event, I bought an 91 attack Pyrope for 2 mil and decided to throw the last 1h 20% scroll I had left lying in my inventory on it and surprise, it worked. Threw a potential scroll too just to test my luck and got three lines. Almost sold it as I was too unfunded to scroll it into a decent one with 50%/WS, but thank god I didn't. Glitter

Thanks for the info, and, well, a VIP is a little out of my reach, even if there are any clean ones in Kradia.

Haha wow, and Hime responds that the GM scrolls were basically an accident and are being removed. Once again, hackers and dupers win in the long run.

No, she implied they meant to put them in but the game is full of babies so they removed them.
