Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread

I sincerely hope Chauster made that post knowing what would happen if he did.

I think the satisfaction is quite worthwhile, and the net effect is definitely positive. Besides, like a true lawyer, you just pile up the evidence so the guys can't escape conviction. If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing =D

Man I'm getting rusty or something... I died twice to Morde in top lane as Koggles. One was just a bumrush fest, while another was a poor escape attempt after he appeared from behind. Later on, the same thing happened, except I executed my escape much better. Then afterward, I got Frozen Mallet and things were gravy.

It's a matter of priority and resources. It's not like we sit in a room going "Yes.... Morgana sucks... excellent!"

We have a list of characters that we would like to change... for reference:

12 Champions are considered overpowered
23 Champions are considered underpowered

Morgana is on the list of 23.


We do know, it's all a matter of allocating the resources to work on them. Morgana being UP is a lower priority than say Gangplank, who is ridiculously overpowered at the moment and is in many games.

Btw, this should totally be a contest. Whoever can name the most champs that are OP/UP wins whatever codes I salvage from PAX Prime this year (unless I don't own a particular item myself).

Declarations should be original postings, and must be done before Rioters confirm it themselves, with the exceptions of Morgana and GP.

Now I understand why there was a topic about "What do you think are the 23 UP Champions". I totally missed the memo.
Also I highly doubt Riot will admit which champions are OP and/or UP, but we can always hope...

Bleh, this list is hard. I have 10 OP names and 27 UP names...

[spoiler=Kaj's 500th win with me and friends....against a terribad troll team][/spoiler]

So once we saw that they all got Doran's Rings at the beginning, we knew they were trolling. And our hunch was correct as they started getting the same, exact items. All were building AP (including Olaf! lollollol! He later got a Frozen Mallet, though).

Beginning was just eh. Since it was established they were trolling, I decided to make sure to shut them down as much as I could, through ganks.

Later on, things were too easy. Since they didn't build any meaningful items, anytime there was a teamfight, we raped them quite easily. They fell down like dominoes.

 Late night game with Kaj

So I queued up with Kaj, and headed down to bottom lane to duo with Leona. Early game for me was hella annoying. We were going against GP and Mal, and they zoned us quite a bit. Later on, when I leveled my poison up a bit more, I was able to zone them out quite nicely.

Kaj wasn't doing so well early game. As he was mentioning, Morde was giving him a lot of problems and as a result, he got killed 1-2 times.

Fast forward to mid game. By this time, lots of activity was occuring at mid and top. Meanwhile, I was farming up like nuts at bottom, and watching the warded areas in the mini-map to make sure I wasn't going to get massively ganked. I was zoning out the Mal (or GP), but I made sure not to overextend too much. As a result, I racked up enough gold to build up more damage mitigation items.

So late game, things were still at a stalemate. We were pushing up mid to their inhibitor (it was exposed). While the enemy team had gotten Baron earlier, we simply defended and let the Baron buff run out. I decide to run in and start up a teamfight, and that went pretty well in favor for us.

Long story short, we won this one

I took quite a beating in this game; I took in over 40K damage, twice the damage I usually take when I'm tanking. :f6:

Game kind of fails if Shurelia doesnt actually confirm who the champions are lol.

and god dammit Lux cds are so damn long you use all your skills and sit there auto attacking till you die. Game just now their team would just gap close straight to me and i couldnt defend myself because i had no skills <_<

Patch notes, Morello, other reds, etc. And I doubt we'll ever know who all of the OP/UP champs are anyways.

Lux is going to stay that way. She has long range and utility anyways, making her more of a support than a true AP carry.

The only time hes instawin is when the game goes on for over an hour and he 5-hits your tanks with parrrley.

Apparently AD runes are better than armour pen runes until your target has 90-100 armour. Well, guess I'm throwing out my Ashe page =.=

But seriously, I'm real interested in how this came to be.

So after doing many Akali games yesterday I've gotten much better with her and she's become one my favourite champions now. Her playstyle is just too fun. I had to go solo top against Vlad so I was a bit worried but ended up killing him 5 times from just harassing him nonstop. My final score on that game was 16/7/6, but we LOST. Why? Our Irelia and Rumble had 13 deaths each
All in all though, I'm doing really well with her and even when my team is failing I can still pull off good scores.

Well of course theorycrafting is the most optimal way to figure stuff out like this, but I'm still interested in how they came to this conclusion and why did it take so long for people to get to it.
My only concern is, will this end up making certain champions become too powerful, assuming this change is actually worthwhile?

I have a HUGE excel file on armour calculations.
Stuff I like to do in my spare time.

The formula is 100-10000/(100+x) as a percentage.

Lux is going to stay that way. She has long range and utility anyways, making her more of a support than a true AP carry.

We'll see. Someone posted on the forums that Lux has a phase every teamfight where all her spells are on cooldown and she has nothing to do, and Shurelia was 'investigating' it. I also read today shes being doing some 'feel' changes to her and Morgana like Kog and Ez got.
