I thought equips in pvp don't count?

We all knew legend mode allowed potential effects, but does nexon's new description say veterans will also allow "nerfed" potential?

It doesn't say anything for rookie or gladiator, but starting from veteran it says the items and equipment effects "may be reduced"?

• Veteran: The Veteran tier is available for all Maplers above level 120. All skills can be used. Item and equipment effects may be reduced for balance purposes.

• Legend: The Legend tier is available for all Maplers above level 180. All skills can be used. Items and equipment give their full effects in this tier. However, no Battle Mode potions will drop in this mode.

I don't see anything worth freaking out about until you see someone doing 5,000,000 worth of damage.
Nexon's descriptions for things have never had any ounce of accuracy since the beginning of time.

I know right , like what is this "may be nerfed" vague ass description. In programming its either nerfed or its not lol.

But, my worries don't come from godly players having godly potentials but the fact that i need some of my %dex to wear my equips... so if they nerf it enough so that i dont have enough dex to wear my equips... i won't even be able to fight.

Potential is not working in Veteran mode.

So whats with nexon's description then? They just write things for the lulz?

Probably. Rolleyes

They lie all the time with their have in game descriptions. There was the "unlimited use" potion, there's Heaven's Hammer, almost every skill that involves % damage buffs, and the recently introduced inaccuracy of the third job advancement quest dialogue that still tells Explorers that they need a "special item" to use the Holy Rock.

Potential doesn't work. I can't equip my Pescas without potential.
So if you see an idiot shad in Bera using an Asura in PvP, it's probably me.

I couldn't use my 163 Ele Staff 7 without swapping my cape out for one with 17 luk >_> ... at least I can attack though.

It is nice to not have to worry about equipping certain equips because your stats are too low.

Its okay, I started using my explorer's bazlud or Balrog's Varkit in pvps for the same reason Rolleyes.

Oh, I mean on other classes as well. Thieves, Pirates, Archers and Mages. All of my characters have the right stats so I never have to worry about not being able to equip certain equips because of having low stats.

It sure is. It's so... relaxing and less stressful.
