PvP Dominator: Cygnus Knights?
#1
In Gladiator PvP, everyone is restricted to 3rd job skills or lower, but all Cygnus Knight skills are 3rd job and lower with the exception of Echo of Hero.

In case you didn't know, Cygnus Knights get a nerfed version of an Explorer class 4th job skill in 3rd job.

So do you think they'll crush everyone else?

Not really, most of the skills suck
Soul Driver: nerfed and semi useless
Advanced Combo: possibly useful, not sure how multipliers work in pvp
Triple Throw: not really that special(there are other multi hit moves nearly as good)
Venom: Useless
Barrage: slow casting time, and I think it has a cooldown, useless
Speed infusion:useless
HurricaneTongueossibly OP
(not sure what WAs get at 110:p)
(not sure what BWs get at 100 either)
Meteor shower: just another ult, no biggie

Only thing i see that's good would be WAs with hurricane

Having tested a BM in PVP on Tespia, I can tell you that Hurricane is actually pretty terrible for PVP, doing almost no damage at all. Strafe, Arrow Rain, Inferno, all were doing more and left me less vulnerable (as Hurricane roots you in place for alittle while, Arrow Rain does too, but it hits decently hard)

However, on WAs, their wind pierce does *extreme* damage in PVP, especially when using it out of stealth. It's that and Wind Shot you should worry about, not Hurricane.

Everything in PvP has a delay of 6000ms, so Hurricane will only shoot 1 arrow every 6 seconds instead of every 0.12 seconds.

So Hurricane is 50x weaker in PvP than outside PvP.

(disclaimer: if I understand it correctly)
Edit: I do not understand it correctly. Tongue

oh hell no, ifrit/phoenix/frostprey were kicking my ass in tespia PVP, seriously, they seem to not lag at all or something, hopefully it's not like that now, because as a warrior, that's broken.

wha?

Aran's can still use their combo though right?

It wont be: attack, *six sec*, double swing, *6 secs*, triple swing, *6 seconds*, final blow... will it? 0.o

...Anyone who tested a bowmaster on Tespia able to confirm that? I'm gonna be so screwed for PvP if that's the case, especially since my strafe isnt maxed x_X

This is not true. Not all skills have a large cooldown. Hurricane shoots just as fast as in pve. Some other skills also have less cooldown, like buccaneers dragon strike, is pretty spammable too. And 6000 ms seems abit high, it's more like 2500-3000ms.

Hurricane is pretty good, if you stay in range, it drains your hp very quickly. The trick is to avoid getting caught in it. The worst enemy of a BM would be the shadower, as he can just teleport behind him everytime with assaulter. But I think BM's will be very effective vs warriors.

At around minute 18 you see DS spam, hurricane and the corsairs hurricane-like skill.

Let me rephrase the 6000ms.
It's 6000ms between skills.
Meaning if you were to use Hurricane and Strafe, it'd have a 6000ms delay between those casts. Hurricane is slowed down by about 1/5th. Meaning it's 100 arrows a minute instead of the usual 500, if how I tested it in Tespia was correct.

@above
Dark sight has NO DELAY.

Seriously, its not like every other class didn't get skill restrictions either.
Just wait till tomorrow and see for yourself ffs. Odds are lag is gonna be more deadly than said OP stuff anyways.

Arans suck the big plantain in PvP.

Another issue to consider is that most of the testers didn't have any Ambition levels, or PVP gear, or in the case of the high end arena, no potentials (but that's level 180+ only)

Still, testing my attacks with a Corsair, my Strafe killed him x3 as fast as my Hurricane, so... I dunno. Also yes, my Phoenix summon was doing very well, especially since it autotargets and you don't have to think about it.

Oh and for the love of God people.
1000ms = 1 second not 6.

Isn't 1000ms = 1second
6000ms = 6 seconds no?
