Arm-weight based exercises
#1
To substitute for weights, would using one arm to apply force on my other hand and to try to lift that force be counted as exercise? Basicly it's like a self arm wrestle, but can be adjusted based on my own preferences.

I just wanted to know if it'll work or not, I've been trying different ways to exercise lately like air-punching and stuff. I've been meaning to use my dad's weight sets for exercising, but he attacks me about using them and I never get near them even if I wanted. Rolleyes

It doesn't work because your own strength cancels your own strength. Thus, you are basically just hurting your arm.

This.

Pushups are quite literally the best over-all work out. It works out almost every muscle in your body from your legs to your core to your arms.

Everything Shikage said is true. Pushups are baller. If strongly recommend supplementing them with squats (ideally a 3 or more variations) and crunches (Again with some variations).
