I think I should start meta-punning on all my posts.

Since meta is such a useful word I could easily slip it into just about any post of mine to make it more meta.

What do you people/aliens/monsters think? Do you think making meta puns would make all my posts more meta?

Rob already meta ninjad you!

And, yes, I am indeed Douglas Hofstadter. Surprised? That just means you aren't as meta as me and you need to work on being the most meta person you can be!

All meta and no meta makes Meta a dull meta.

Your post is lacking in meta.

Fix that.

We need to go deeper in the layers of meta-antics.

Why would Meta be asking a question publicly if we are all ultra ignored? Troll thread is a troll.

It'd make them pretty gay. Wait. Based on meta, I have a feeling that this colloquial slang may have more bite than intended.

Uses Smurf as an acronym

Both Meta and Smurf are blue

MetaSeraphim

removed letters T, E, and A

MeaSrphim

re-arranged

Im a Smerph

You're confusing acronym with adjective.

Smurfs also use smurf as acronyms.

You're confusing serious with sarcasm, the only method I can use to confront Randumb_Overlord.

Also. Adjective, used to describe things. Acronym, used to abbreviate a phrase.
Because such a blatant attack requires further proof;
Quote:an adjective is a word whose main syntactic role is to qualify a noun or noun phrase, giving more information about the object signified.

Quote:Acronyms and are abbreviations formed from the initial components in a phrase or name.
I don't think meta is an abbreviation of anything, and I don't think smurf is an abbreviation of anything either.

So tell me, what am I confusing with what?

Sometimes I wish that hipsters are more than a distended collective belief so I'd have something real to blame for the continued obfuscating of English; particularly the words (and prefixes) associated with the mythos surrounding hipsters.

I mean, seriously my entire life used to be meta until everyone else started doing it.
