Need to find good DS RPG's
#1
I want to find some good DS RPG's, but I'm having trouble finding ones I would like o buy. I want ones that are pretty long, have extra quests and other things to do outside of the main story, and maybe more. I'm leaning towards that Dragon Quest game where you can customize your look. I think that was DQ 9 or something?

Some of the games I really liked:
Valkyrie Profile Covenant of the Plume
Luminous Arc 2
Drone Tactics (or something, had to do with bug robots lol)
Final Fantasy 3 (Yes. No others.)
Tales offfff everything Big Grin ( where is my ds tales qq)
Mega man everythingggg

I'm just going through the old games, finding things I may want.
I'm looking for either turn based RPG's like DQ, or some real time ones, like Tales of games.

Here's some of the games I was thinking of:
DQ VI
DQ XI
Golden Sun Dark Dawn
Bakugan Defenders of the core
Final Fantasy 4 Heroes of Light
Blue Dragon Awakened Shadow
Ragnarok DS? Big Grin

Otherss

Spider Man Shattered Dimensions
Mega Man Zero Collection
Dokapon kingdom ds? Big Grin

Only reason I'm not asking for Wii ones is because there are barely any qq

The PS3 Disgaea got me interested, so if the DS one is good I may think about it too.
So, anything that I should really pick up more then the others?

Avoid 4 heroes of light. Turned out to be ass.

Radiant Historia and Dragon Quest IX are the two best traditional RPGs on the DS, hands down. The World Ends With You is also amazing but uses the stylus a lot and isn't exactly a tradtional RPG.

Dragon Quest IV, V and VI are all very good but even though they're remakes of old games, they still FEEL like old games, which means they're something you may have to work your way into

Golden Sun: Dark Dawn was okay but it was nothing special. It was too short, there's no back-tracking and it ends on a cliffhanger.

Bowser's Inside Story is also absolutely amazing. Partners in Time is okay but it's no where near as awesome as BIS.

I can list more RPGs but these are the best.

Disgaea DS is a fabulous time-burning SRPG. Pick it up to have around for long car rides or what have you.

Well, I've played Bowser's inside story, and it was awesome.
I think I'll end up picking up Dragon Quest IX or Blue Dragon once I look that up.

I like having a game that will last me 999 hours, lol. I try to do everything in it that would make it long. I've already gotten 20 or so ours in Arc Rise Fantasia (forgot about it then restarted and I'm trying to get/do everything) and I'm only level 22.
Disgaea I would like to look up too. The PS3 Trailer was so epic that it made me think of this.
Bakugan I'll probably try on the Wii, looks like a very nice game. Do you have any ideas on multiplayer games on the DS? Ones that allow DS download. That is the reason I listed Dokapon kingdom, thinking it would be the only one.

DS isn't really ideal for multiplayer...

Also I'm not into playing with other people so I can't recommend anything besides Pokemon.

Ragnarok DS is absolutely horrible, if you ever played Ragnarok Online you will know what I mean by saying that you have aobut 10% of the original skills and you only have acces to the 1 and 2-1 jobs, the story is just downright awfull and the online play really sucks because nobody plays that game anymore.

I recomend Sands Of destruction, it's a very solid RPG with really good music, graphics and storyline. My only complain would be that the battle system is a little bit broken sometimes, but it works fine. However, the game is quite rare as I have never seen it in stores ever since I bought my copy.

Oh pomegranate... I forgot about that. >_>
Reminds me of Valkyrie profile, so I was going to pick it up.

So I guess I'll be picking up DQ 9 and Sands of Destruction.
Disgaea looks crazy, I'll pick it up 3rd. Thanks, guys.

Wow, I'd never heard of Sands of Destruction. It DOES look interesting. I may have to pick that up too.

Dredragon: DON'T MISS RADIANT HISTORIA. IT IS THE BEST GAME.

Dragon Quest IX has hundreds of hours of gameplay but Radiant Historia is THE best gaming experience on the DS.

I thought that was a wii game, lol. Is it what that project rainfall thing was talking about? Anyway, I'll go look it up right now~

EDIT: It looks cool, but I think I'll get Sands of Destruction first. I want to get the games that probably won't last much longer on the shelves (if they're even still there).

Just looked up sands of destruction.... when the heck was that made? It looks like a game from 5+ years ago with those graphics. The attacks were... sad. Specials cut off and don't keep the monster you're attacking on screen.... it's like he was attacking the darkness (inb4 magic missile at the darkness)

This is what I mean:

I mean heck... I love RPGs. I almost exclusively play RPGs. But this just looks sad T.T

MegaMan Battle Network 5: Double Team DS. You probably already played this... I enjoyed it...
I don't play DS anymore but my sister bought Harvest Moon today. I have played that before, I know its not an RPG, but its fun. MegaMan ZX is fun but you probably played that too. ZX:Advent was a blast!
