Normals, Co-op vs AI, Ranked: All count.

Thank God, rebounded a bit. 2 ranked games: Janna first game, ended 3/0/16, Caitlyn second game, ended 12/7/11, freaking love Cait.
Then had a couple normals which went fine. Won the first as Leblanc and they surrendered quickly and then played Yorick as the second. Damn Yorick is good now. I was so bulky and could stay in fights for so long.

I'm pretty god damned mad that they would do a soft reset. What the fu'ck is wrong with this company?

So in any other sport or game they don't let the people who win get a fu'cking headstart the next season.
I got fu'cked over on my placement games and now we have people who had decent 5v5 placement games
starting out higher than me. Even though I had to work my ass off to get above 1200, it doesn't matter because
it was all fixing what those god da'mned 50 elo placement games.

So I'm actually 30-23 in ranked right now. That's 7 games positive which is pretty good so early on in my ranked career.
But I have a big problem with people like kaj (not literally it's just an example calm down bro) that have 9 games TOTAL
and have a higher elo than me. That's pretty messed up in my opinion, and for them to not let us ALL start fresh is just
bullshi't.

A bunch of you have played with me enough to know damn well I am better than your average 1200 players.
I guarantee you that if my placement games had been 5v5's that I would have started out around 1400 range
AT LEAST. Now I won't even get the chance to play with a better crowd because of this stupid ass soft reset.

From what I understand the odds are good that with an elo of around 1300 you will end up starting out at 1200 again next season.
They had better and I mean THEY HAD BETTER let everyone that starts out at 1200 or below after the soft reset get full placement
games again. I might not even continue with the game if they can't even do that for us.

Well derp, since i locked out of my Nexon account i have been thinking of returning to the riot world for a while, so whats new around here? is nocturne still able to make noobs cry or what? XD

I feel a little better now that I had a chance to vent about my frustration with this soft reset.

Wanted to try Cass and Vayne actually, so this may work out for me. Was hoping Mundo or Malzahar was free this week because they were the 2 main champs I wanted to test, but this works too. Looks like I'm playing Vayne on my alt acc til my main gets unbanned from a game crash -_-

BS, I've had a total of 14 solo ranked games. But I see where you're coming from.

I'm not entirely sure how much of the first X games depends on luck, and how much of it depends on skill. Though if you have overwhelming skill, you'll just cream the opposition if you pick the appropriate champ.

EDIT: Here's a solid post explaining the ideas behind why the seasons are doing a soft reset instead of a hard reset (the latter being used so the people it hands concessions to can experience their downfall again).

 Trolling with Singed in a ranked game

Decided to try my luck - again - in ranked and pray to God that I wasn't paired up with a feeder. In the beginning, our WW dced, but we managed to build a healthy lead.

Meanwhile, I was getting tons of farm, zoning the Renekton I was going against. Trundle tried to gank me so many times, but I managed to escape - with the exception of a death that happened - and at one point, converting it into a kill on Renekton.

Later on, the entire team tries to push bottom, but we were there in force. I pop my ult, went in, threw down my Mega Adhesive, and targeted the squishies for tower aggro. We got 3-4 enemies that way, and amazingly, the WW - who was level 8 - got a triple kill, mostly from last-hitting.

Apparently the Vayne on the other team was trolling and didn't give a damn about playing. This pretty much helped us win because we killed her easily and she wasn't present in most fights.

You guys will probably not believe this, but my first 3 ranked games all had NOT 1 BUT 2 leavers in them. Ended up at 1100 or so after my first 10 games. A 100 games later I'm at 1500. Also nocturne is still viable, but not that overpowered anymore after his nerf. A ward counters his ulti range for crying out loud. Also does anyone know if we get a new kayle skin or one of her old ones?

i believe its a new skin.

played a troll game with my roommate, he played corki and i played ashe, we dou'd bottom lane both starting with fort pot. fort pot was really dumb, its just like a dorans blade at lvl 1 lol >.>. but he went crazy and went 29/1 masteries and took ignite/exhaust, i had flash exhaust. We messed up at lvl 1, so the enemy akali and gangplank both got away with 50ish health each but we were able to zone them really hard. Lvl 6 really sucked cause akali could just charge me and gp would slow me, so i died there and then later their morde came and ganked from mid, they just walked right past our tower and gp ult slowed me enough for them to catch up and destroy me even with flash/arrow combo. Akali was quite the trash talker and was going on and on about how bad i was, but she would just try to dive past my entire team to kill me and it was like ok, thanks for free kill . I had a couple nice arrows that changed it from them chasing us, to one of them getting stunned and my team turning around to insta kill the stunned person. Ended up winning in 40ish minutes, akali was pretty pissed

Everyone above 1500+ Rating gets dropped back to 1500, but everyone else that's at 1499 or lower gets dropped to 0.

From a red post, the soft reset means something like a halving towards 1200, he wasn't sure but he said it would be something similar:

2000->1600
800->1000
1600->1400
1300->1250

So how exactly does the soft reset work? Like link just explained?

:o that works too, I saw the numbers and thought of cutting the half of the difference between your rank and 1200 then if your ELO is below 1200 you add it, and the opposite for over 1200.

so base 2000: 2000-1200 is 800 you take half and it's 400, 2000-400 and you end with 1600 ELO.

Just had my first game laning with a Cho just now. OH GOD HE GETS BIG.

Kennen was tooting his own horn the whole game even though the only reason he didn't die was because of Fling and Mega Adhesive... The other team chased me 1v5 all the time, I usually ran them through a shroom or two and then to my team. Stuck around and defended turrets 1v5 because my team was doing pineapple all, tanked turrets, got 5 assists from an ace under their bottom inhibitor turret, got five assists when I jumped them four seconds after they killed Baron before my team got there (I was thinking to myself "damn my team is slow, guess I'll just stall with Insanity Potion" and they were all at 50% HP by the time my team got there), and all of my kills were from trolling around as Singed (something like "aha there's singed let's chase him" and then they proceed to almost die catching up to me, they turn to run but can't because they're megaslowed, flings ensue). This is hilarious.

This patch, we're getting the long-awaited global teleport tech, which allows us to limit the range of global teleportation abilities.

This means Pantheon, next patch, will have less teleportation range than on live currently. This is a big opportunity for us and you to shape the direction of Pantheon's changes - we want you to try him with the new range and tell us what you think he'll need to be fun and viable again. Changes could range from numbers to skill reworks, anything really. We have ideas, but we know you've wanted this for awhile - let's get together so our team can deliver what you want more effectively.

Our goal is to get this out in the patch-after-next. We have a few additional tech cleanups to do on him in the meantime and wanted to take this delay as an opportunity to really give fans what they want to make Pantheon awesome again.

Also my number talk from my last post was about how Blizz did their "Soft Reset" for WoW Arena ratings. I didn't mean for people to believe that's how Riot was doing their reset, sorry

So after just getting out of a fail Lux game i have realised Sorc Boots are 100% better than CDR Boots. Once i got them i racked up like 3 easy kills lol.

I still think Morde is broken.
