How Do You Play MapleStory? (Poll!)
#1
I really couldn't think of a better title for this =l

Basically.. how do you play MapleStory?

And be honest Monocle

You can base your vote on
- How long do you play each day?
- How many times do you go on (and off) Maple each day?
- How far will you go to play Maple?
- Do you complete every event?
- What level your characters are?
- How are your funds?
Etc..

And those questions aren't Yes/No only.. they vary Stunned

Basically, anything that has to relate to MapleStory's "priority" in your life..
Just a poll for fun. Shine

Vote! (And Discuss if chu want Redface )

Before I reached level 200: Addicted
After I reached levlel 200: Careless

Well, I am sure Nexon's inability to do anything right and/or slow hackers down had something to do with the change. Plus, I never did like some of the things changed from Big Bang and had lower interest already, and it was only being 19x that I got interested a bit more, but now that Chaos is out and has more changes... yeah, I could care less.

I've downgraded over the years.

Once Addicted.

Once Semi-addicted.

Now Casually once i got sick of the hacking and once i got a taste of better managed games. The cute factor is what keeps me around, as well as nostalgia-feelings. There's also events that will bump me back up to Semi-addicted, i'm horribly geared, but i'd hate to miss the chances to keep my char from falling TOO far behind.

How the hell is a game a priority in any situation?

When I'm into it, I'm super into to it, but I lose interest quickly.

No clue.
I don't get how people can be 'addicted' to maplestory. I mean seriously is your willpower that weak? I've always played maplestory casually, i only played whenever i wanted to and often took breaks for a few months to return for some months.

When it supplies an easy reward system and social environment that the afflicted's IRL doesn't give them. Why look elsewhere when MapleStory gives satisfies these basic needs so much easier? Think of that however you like.

Casual, ex-addict.

Does my choice of ISP based on a good latency reputation count?

Casual, ex-addict.

So everyone that plays MapleStory has no social life?
The word priority means to have importance in the matter before anything else. If this game is a priority then those people wouldn't bathe, eat, sleep and would supposedly put this game on the top of the priority list just to play. I don't think anyone on this forum would classify this game as having that kind of impact on them. "This game is one of my priorities" does seem as if you're pretty damn addicted if you have to play it.

I don't know. Maybe the wording is annoying, or my definition of priority is different. It's a thread Punch made so whatever.

Addicted = cancelling on friends to play maple (even if its not 2x exp or anything), not studying/working but playing MS, etc etc

I do it sometimes (the workskipping, not the friends cancelling though), so i guess I'm semiaddicted xD

Real gaming addiction is very rare, I read somewhere, because the addictive stuff is produced by yourself (in your brain) and not an outside source. Or something like that.

pretty much this. I'll play 6+ hours for a bit(5-10days) then not touch the game for a week or two.

This last month has a been a bit different though, because once i lose interest something new comes out and i am back into it.

I spend most of my days afking, but I make Maple a top priority when there are time sensitive events/things going on. For example, the evolving ring events. I the sense of leaving Maple running (for Guild points and Willpowah), I'm addicited. When it comes to training, it's casual. Merchanting is sem-addicted, because I spend a good amount of time doing that.

Like a boss.

I used to play casually on and off, but recently due to this new event I've became semi-addicted.
