You inspect the dead plants, but are unable to recognize exactly what they are.

The animal does not seem to want to chase after the stick. It feels quite comfortable lying on the book.

The animal stares at you for a moment before it returns to scratching.

What will you do?

Use your bracelet and force some kind of magical power within the animal or book.

If the sticks plan doesn't work go gather some blood on one of the pots then go back to the greenhouse and put the blood filled pot as far from the animal as possible to see if it moves towards it, while trying to take the book and then run for the door.

@mike: The diary poofed earlier when we read the spell and was replaced by the bracelet.

Go to a different spot, taking care not to be noticed by the animal. Throw one of the pots in your inventory at the animal (at it's head). And VERY quickly hide again in case you miss.


If it kills/scares it off: Take the book.
If it only maddens the animal, go get another pot... once again, being careful not to be noticed.

Though you do attempt to move the animal or the book, the bracelet did not provide you with any magical power.

You leave the room and fill a pot with blood. You return to the greenhouse and place the pot on the ground. The animal is not attracted to the pot. You place the pot back into your inventory.

You throw the bracelet near the animal. It moves off the book to examine it. Before you can stop the animal, it swallows the bracelet, preventing you from advancing.

You return to the end of Main Reality Step 21.

Go to a different spot, taking care not to be noticed by the animal. Throw one of the pots in your inventory at the animal (at it's head). And VERY quickly hide again in case you miss.

You move a short distance away from the animal, but not far enough that you can't see it. You take aim and toss a pot at the animal. It hits it on the head, slaying the ferocious beast. Unfortunately, its blood begins to soak the book beneath it. The book is ruined, preventing you from advancing.

You return to the end of Main Reality Step 21. The animal stares at you for a moment before it returns to scratching. You feel as if you have ignored several objects found within the room.

What will you do?

Examine the pile of leaves.

Also: I hit the animal on it's head. How much blood came out that it soaked the book under it? xD

Nearby you also see a pile of leaves, some sticks, and a broken pot, as well as more rows of dead plants.

Are these the items that are being ignored?

Place the sticks and some leaves near the animal. Perhaps it will eat it. It may be hungry since it swallowed the bracelet.

A somewhat large amount of blood has leaked from the animal's corpse, as several large pieces of the pot cut the animal after it was hit.

You return to the end of Main Reality Step 21.

Examine the pile of leaves.

You examine the pile of leaves. You sit down in the pile and find it very comfortable. The animal looks over at you and agreees. It prepares to move over to the pile, but stops once it notices that the simple act of sitting on the leaves eventually pushes them out from under you, requiring you to get back up and remake the pile. Perhaps you could use another nearby object to fix this problem.

Fashion a doggie bed out of the sticks and leaves.

You fashion a spectacular looking bed out of the sticks and leaves. The animal gets up and walks over to the bed. It lies down, purring. That old fat house cat won't bother you anymore.

You dust some cat hair off the book and pick it up. There appears to be a key stuck into it as a bookmark, just as there was in the first book you found.

Take sticks and leaves and make a fucking fire.

Go back to whomever the pineapple said to throw a pot at the dog and use fire to move him away and keep the book.

Then go fill up a pot with blood to maybe poison the dog if the fire doesn't work out.

But OB3LISK, I'm not sure if you're reading my posts and/or understanding the concept of returning to previous steps. And please stick to posting in the threads; I won't respond to anything you tell me to do through a VM.

After reading the book, identify your gender. Then place everything in the room in your hammerspace bag, including Fuzzbuns. It's hammerspace, he'll find a nice corner to sleep in.

Force feed the cat in the bed the keys.
