You could spend 0 meso in preparation and still be raging considering it's one of the four best rings to have in the game period and now all of the people who would have it will NEVER have it.

Which is probably why they did it. They need to have some things that are rare and earned. You shouldn't be able to get one of the "four best rings to have in the game period" on the first day of the patch because you stocked up on rocks.

You will be rewarded with special items for reaching Lv.7 of a harvesting profession or Lv.5 of a crafting profession during the event.

its still just a game and still just a ring.
i dont rage cause i wont get it ~ i hunt zak twice a day for the reciple but i dont have my hopes up cause as i said in other thread i do realize how low the drop rate is. i learned one thing after playing this game all these years, no matter what sooner or later there will be something better than DAR (just look at all equips from time perspective) im not a perfectionist and i dont need to have BEST things in the game.
beside never say never, someday you may find the reciple.
no one ever said that we will have exactly the same event so there's nothing/no one to be mad on or rage on.
simply you gotta hunt for it like milions of other ppl, deal with it.

Its nexon you knew it wasnt 100% sure they would do it just chill out and hunt it. If you really want it that bad you will hunt it and get it eventually. Things always drop they have to its impossible for it not to drop at one point ^^.

I couldn't have it on the first day. I could have it on the 10th, though.

It doesn't matter if you don't want to hunt it because it's rare or don't think it's fair because it's rare.

The more super rare items the game has the better it is. Not everything should be served up on a silver platter and the game started going down hill the second everyone and their mother had a zakum helm. As long as there's a 0.001% chance it will drop, it's fine. If only one person has it by the end of next year, then great. Just hope you're that one person.

I'd rather focus on making equipment for my job's secondary stat that will help me to equip the 140 weapons, should I ever have the pleasure to own them.

KMS doesn't have them. GMS certainly won't have them for a while, and you think you might ever get one? Merely remarking.

There's a difference between zak dropping 0-5 helms every time you kill him, for anyone, at any time, day or night, 2008 or 2011, and a 15 day event where an item is obtainable basically ONLY through early preparation. 15 day event, meaning not everyone and their mom will or could have them. Zak isn't a good example in this case.

I don't mind tedious quests. I do mind infinitesimal chances, where if you hunt for 50,000 mobs, you either get it or you don't, and most people don't. That doesn't appeal to me.

Like, if there was a quest: Kill 500 Zakums + 500,000 Guardians - I would be 100% okay with that. Anyone who has the dedication (or botting) gets it. But just plain being a 0.0002% droprate is pomegranatety, cause you could go millions of kills without getting it. And odds are good that someone will. 1 in 8 won't have it after a million kills. 1 in 64 won't have it after 2 million kills... etc. Or you could be the lucky 1 in a million who gets it on the first kill.

I'm fine with this due to the fact that I accepted that I won't be getting this ring, ever.

A great ring that no one will ever have is still better than a great ring that only pompous rich exploiter pricks will have. This event will be successful in that it's something no one can buy their way in to. That's the best event Nexon has held in years.

You realize that there is a stronger chance of a 71+ ring with slots being released (which is by default better than the DAB) in the time it would take someone to get the DAB recipe to drop right?

To people who used a ton of money for ores like takebacker or white the only proof, if you can call it proof to there being an event with the DAR was that KMS had one. You should have been some what prepared for that, in my opinion anyway. But i dont care much just dont freak over it and saying you will never get it cause of it. But if you think nexon has never let you down then keep raging.

I mean sure their on different levels of necessity, but the argument that it's Nexon and they mess things up all the time so we shouldn't complain about it doesn't really work well with the precedent of them not giving us SP resets (at first).

They drop from Cygnus, don't they? Meaning that they're available, except no one has 'em?

Cygnus has never been defeated so no one knows what she drops. People assumed PB dropped timeless stuff before it was killed.

She could easily drop recipes to get 140 stuff, which would probably require a dream stone, which is ironically, also dropped by cygnus. If that were the case not even the RUNNERS (and by runners i mean attackers, not bishops) would be able to get a lot of 140 stuff without shelling out a hell of a lot of money.

Well, it's not like we are going to get the DAR in 1 day.

We need to craft 10 days in a row with Zero mistakes.
12:00am PST: Craft until you reach max fatigue.
8:00pm PST: Craft again and reach max fatigue.
11:00pm PST: Use Fatigue potions and craft before fatigue resets.

Many of us have jobs and we don't live in that "Timezone". For me, staying up until 2:00am it's not reccommended. Others have a social life so maybe they will take more than 10 days to reach lvl 10 profession.
On top of that, for the people that invested in ores (not plates) you need 2-3 mining mules doing the Refining job. If you are lacking ores, another mule to farm ores.
I don't know you, but doing that for 10 days straight requires some dedication and we should be properly rewarded.

It's not an event exclusive ring but rather a ring that is essentially only obtainable through this event.

As far as it being a ring no one will ever have vs only rich pompous exploiter pricks, I think you forget that it can still drop, just exceptionally rarely. What does that mean? Only rich pompous exploiter pricks will have it. Because they will either bot for it, or buy it from botter friends of theirs. This event was what gave legits a chance at it. That's why Takebacker and I are getting so frustrated. Not only did we basically throw money away (which, for me, was a real lot and makes me very upset) but it also means that basically me and Takebacker can't get it except to buy it from rich exploiter pompous pricks, that will obviously overprice because ONLY THEY HAVE IT.
