Orange Imp

I found an Orange Imp thing while killing Maladies, and...it's sick. How the heck do I fix it?

You can't raise them until the profession town is available next week.

You basically just stop caring and let it die.

Can someone please tell me about the rewards you get from imps? Nobody seems to have a definitive answer.. :/
