More like any computer running vista and higher will now be unable to patch hackshield and will have to delete their hackshield files and redownload them, but in the process, corrupt the maplestory file, causing a massive influx of redownloads from the main site, prompting nexon to shut down the website due to "unforeseen traffic", which will lock out the 3/4ths of the users who don;t know how to run gamelauncher causing mass hysteria. All this during the Hottime event at 1 pm.

Exactly what I thought. Misleading title is misleading.

Turns out the new HS update doesnt at all agree with my Nvidia firewall...I cant seem to give it access even though it is supposed to allowing it. As soon as I turn the firewall on Maple gets cut off. I had no problems before the HS update...anyone know what I can do? I dont want to have my firewall turned off.

Does anyone know the file name to allow so I can enable access to HS ? I've been stuffing around for 4 hours...

Actually HackShield wants you to turn off all your personal firewalls...thus allowing more personal hacking threats.

My firewall is on. I use Trend Micro

no problem for hackers, since they disable hackshield before conecting to the game (:

..Too many people took my post seriously lol. Realistically they'd just assume every person in game used their hack or indirectly confesses by downloading nexon's "manual patch" and ban's everyone. Then they re-release the game! Maplestory 2.0, Eradication

HackShield must have issues with Nvidia's firewall, cause nothing I've tried(admittedly I dont know much) will allow me to get on with the firewall active even on the lowest setting.

Ugh, I said screw it and am downloading the whole new client. Hopefully that will fix the problems.

download the hs and what not and i still dc within the second i get on maple..

I'm not DCing, I just can't login. I either get a message saying I need to verify my email or I get the trouble logging in message.
