Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread
Foopah Wrote:Eh? I've never been in a game with you where you have dodged, and I don't consider you to be a dodger in any way. I'm talking about other 300+/400+ win players who play fairly consistently and well, who dodge bad team compositions (in normal games) and talk about it in chat. As for not joining in, not a big deal, though, I would like more games with you since you do help with advice. For not being around and time, it's not a big deal either, I'm not hounding you to join us (although it took me a few tries at invitation to remove people from the invite list so they don't keep getting pinged).

I don't think I've run into any SP'ers who que dodge from any games I've been invited to play in. I just seem to run into them (other non-sp'ers) on occasion when I'm in Premade 2/3/4's and they que-dodge and explain to me after logging back in why they did that. I don't judge, not my place to, I just accept it and move on. If is so bad, why do people do it and why is that option even available? Can anyone explain that?

Can someone explain me here what's so bad about queue-dodging? It makes you wait a whole minute oh my fricking god, what's the big deal? You can't honestly tell me you never dodged for whatever reason. The LoL community is just THAT bad, that sometimes you're forced to leave in champion selection already. I've encountered an eve who wanted to play teemo very very badly but he was already picked and the one that picked him refused to pick another. So she picked eve, choose teleport/revive and said she would feed. I actually was so stupid to go into this game and she ended up with 0/37/0 before she afk'ed and we surrendered at 20 minutes.
Now these 20 minutes of my life could be avoided by dodging the game and wasting 5 minutes instead (queue dodge timer) in which I could do something else anyway. I know that there are certain cases where dodges are a bit extreme, like OMG she picks kayle, she's noob, pick something else, (queue-dodge). But hee do you really want to play with these kind of idiots in the first place?
Queue dodging and or leaving games is the amongst the lamest things you can do.
If you didnt want to play that game, don't look for a game.

I have fun regardless of if i win or lose, i play to have fun.
It's disrespectful and rude at the very least, and that's all I'm going to say on that matter. Regardless, I've only dodged ONCE in my entire career and I felt terrible for doing it. I refuse to dodge regardless if my team is "obvious troll mode" or not, it just means I have to try even harder to try and win. I see it as a Xv5, and I've seen / played plenty of games where the underdog ends up winning.

Can you tell what's the thing that's so frustating about queue dodging? 1 minute, opposed to playing with an idiot. I too play to have fun, but that too can be achieved by simply playing competive. I like winning, but I also don't mind losing that much if I knew I played very well. It's simply no fun if you end up against a 30/2/12 evelyn who can simply tower dive you happily. I really can't see how you can have any sorta fun of that. Obviously I want to play a game, but I don't want to end up with an unwinnable situation.

@Dark Link (I should learn how to multi quote...). How is it rude from your side if the other person intentionally tries to ruin your game by feeding or some other way. If anything, it's extremely rude from those people that decide to ruin not 1 but 4 people's games. I've won my fair share of 4vs5 too and it's much more fun to win those games, but those usually occur because of the leavers, which is I agree a terrible thing to do.

Reading would help you a ton.
I did at no point call it frustrating, i called it lame. Which it is, you're wasting the time of 9 other people, and it's not just 1 minute, unless LoL matchmaking improved dramatically i often had to wait for 5 minutes or more to find a game. And what if there's a queue dodger in one of their next games too? Then that's even more time wasted, and it just keeps adding up.
I've tried using 30 minutes on finding a game thanks to queue dodgers.
And i have fun even if i'm stomped, because if i'm stomped then obviously something went wrong in that game, which you can learn from.

Frustating, lame, basically describes the same feeling <.<. As I said it's either better for the other people because you don't have a troll on your team or someone who isn't a teamplayer (Don't pick kayle she sucks). The enemy team could also have a game that's more balanced, which in my opinion is more fun. (I sure like the 70 minute matches more then the 20 minute matches where you go 30-7 in kills or something). And I don't know how it is with you but I usually get matched in 20 seconds-1 minute in normal. In ranked you get punished sufficiently for queue-dodging anyway. Again, you just say generic stuff without actually going into my hypothetical situation. What can you learn from a 20 minute surrender because of a 0/37/0 intentional feeder?
SolicShooter Wrote:Frustating, lame, basically describes the same feeling <.<.
No, they're two very different things.

SolicShooter Wrote:As I said it's either better for the other people because you don't have a troll on your team or someone who isn't a teamplayer (Don't pick kayle she sucks).
I don't get what you mean with this. It's not better, even if you have to play with a troll or someone who isn't a teamplayer. Play the game and then report him. If you don't like jerks, don't play online games.

SolicShooter Wrote:The enemy team could also have a game that's more balanced, which in my opinion is more fun.
And if you queue dodge you have no idea what would have happened in said game. Therefor you have no idea if the enemy has an equally stupid teammate or if they have more than that.

SolicShooter Wrote:(I sure like the 70 minute matches more then the 20 minute matches where you go 30-7 in kills or something).
I like all matches more or less equally, their length doesnt matter. This is possibly from playing DotA, but in DotA there was 1 rule, you don't leave. I've never left and i never will, same for queue dodging, it's really lame.

SolicShooter Wrote:And I don't know how it is with you but I usually get matched in 20 seconds-1 minute in normal.
I said sometimes, not always. And it usually took me 2-3 minutes.

SolicShooter Wrote:In ranked you get punished sufficiently for queue-dodging anyway.
Surely doesnt prevent people from doing it.

SolicShooter Wrote:Again, you can just blurt out stuff without actually going into my hypothetical situation. What can you learn from a 20 minute surrender because of a 0/37/0 intentional feeder?

Plenty, you can practice juking, kiting, outplaying others.

I'll repeat it: If you don't want to play that game, don't look for a game.

Well lets just agree to disagree then, shall we? I just want to make clear that I only queue dodge in extreme situations as well, but then I do think I'm justified. I just want to play a nice game, on the conditions that my team players do their best as well. That's all I look for. Also the EU client usually crashes after a game so reporting is unavailable sometimes.
Wow guys you all have some strange consciences.. Queue dodging is perfectly acceptable and normal to do.

If you do it in normal it's because you are paired up with a retarded team, or you get swapped from that tryhard team to the other side
that has 4 instalocked squishies demanding a tank. You have to deal with 5minutes of wait time per dodge and it stacks.

Ranked is pretty much the same thing, only difference is that you lose 15 elo for dodging there. So basically you just have to ask yourself
if there is any chance of pulling off a win with the dumb team you got dealt. If the answer is no then dodging isn't gonna hurt anybody.

TL;DR
Dodging is fine and the person who does it is not lame, nor do they get to without having to pay for it.
I dodge all the time in normals when I get paired with an obviously losing team.

Everyone has a right to their own opinions. Yet, I find this wrong and disgusting. You never know what may happen as anything can happen.

The only time I "EVER" Queue dodge is when my friend has to do something or has a fcked up rune page or we lost someone. Period.
There's nothing wrong with queue dodging, I just hate the temp matchmaking ban ;_;
lol why is nidalee getting nerfed next patch?!?
Fatalzxc Wrote:lol why is nidalee getting nerfed next patch?!?

Dat heal.
Fatalzxc Wrote:lol why is nidalee getting nerfed next patch?!?

I honestly didn't think much about Nidalee in general, but now that it is mentioned, I did some thinking about it.

Nidalee's heal has a low base value, but its scaling is very high. Presumably this first change was to make laning against her less of an annoyance, while still making it viable late game. She can still sustain reasonably well in a solo lane, but mid-late game, it's really fking hard to catch and kill her. If you don't kill her, she'll just cougar away and pop heals that do obscene amounts. I'm not sure where, if any, her heals are OP in team situations though.
Que dodging is wrong and disrespectful? wtp is this pomegranate?

I'm not going to play a game where there's a 70% chance of me losing the game because I have people with bad champs that aren't communicating at all at champ select.
I don't have a problem with queue dodging, but I don't like the 5-minute wait if I dodge. So I don't dodge myself, but idc if someone else does. Some people don't have fun If they feel like they are doomed from the start, and I'm okay with that. I forgive.

Btw, Internet ban till ~14th, ill check posts every 3 days tho
