You mean, continuing our domination in the Gaming forum thread? Biggrin
You're not alone here Corn. I remember a while ago I had to go mid as Lux against Brand and didn't really know how his skills worked and he destroyed me. That flame pillar is such a peach but I'm a lot better at avoiding his attacks now.
I know pretty well how Brand works but when he's played by a good player he's still a total peach to play against solo mid.
wobbufet Wrote:I know pretty well how Brand works but when he's played by a good player he's still a total peach to play against solo mid.

True, I play Brand a lot when he's free and kick ass with him, but when I'm matched against a good one all I can do is ask for a gank. (Also really enjoy when there's one in mid and I'm jungling, gank gank gank!)

Corn Wrote:Guess I'll try to improve at last hitting, too. It's so annoying to judge the minion's hp with Cait at levels 1 + 2 because usually I leave the minion with like, what, 5 hp.
Ugh hate that, I'm pretty used to it seeing as I use mages a lot, but like 2 games ago, our team needed a ranged AD and decided to go with Ashe, started with boots and 3 pots and I had so many CS missed because of that at level 1, then at lvl 2-3 I got the hang of it but I felt like I sucked. Then next time I went with her again and I was used to it so I even denied the enemy being more aggressive.

Did pretty good in those games though, didn't carry but got nice scores, like 5/2/22 in game 1 and 1/0/1 in 20 minute game 2 cause bottom fed the hell out of them (Mord was 0/6/0 at 20 mins and Heim was 1/8/0).

Same here, I have the same setting and I'm at 150 pages as well Tongue
Still pretty impressive milestone. I've been playing a lot of Ranked and either sucking or having sucky team mates so my elo has dropped into the upper to mid 900s. >_< Really should know when to stop when I'm having a bad day, not go, "I'm sure if I play another one I'll do better or my team will be better." Ah well, it'll get reset at some point, and perhaps I am really just that terrible of a player. I don't think I'm that bad, but some of my scores definitely show my terribad side. XP At least I'm getting used to ranked games, and perhaps I just need to stop trying to carry and go full tank every game. I've been considering it, but I think I'll wait a little bit longer before going that route since I really need more practice with my carries, supports, and jungling at this point.
Huehuehue, game balance delayed a week for system performance to be improved.

Quote:Summoners!

In the next patch, we’re rolling out a number of new upgrades aimed at improving platform stability. These upgrades include some structural changes that should improve our platform across the globe. However, a significant change to the platform is not without a certain element of risk. In order to minimize the possibility of any disruption to your regular gameplay schedule, Leona, the Radiant Dawn; new skins; and game balance changes have been delayed while we work out a few known issues, and will not be in this patch.

While we know that everyone is extremely excited to play Leona, we want to take the time necessary to ensure that we deliver a quality gameplay update, rather than risk making your first experience with the new champion a negative one. We will be working as expediently as we can to complete our configuration and resolve all issues with the coming gameplay updates. We will be bringing you more information on the release of Leona, the Radiant Dawn; new skins; and game balance changes as soon as we are confident that platform stability is optimal.

Thanks for your patience, and thank you for playing League of Legends!
Fuck Riot they can all go burn in a fire >_>
Went with LoL U peeps, and we ended up facing a BD team consisting of Sivir, Master Yi, Pantheon, Caitlyn, and Twisted Fate. They all went AD, all had Teleport, and all were BR.

In another game, I was top Cho'Gath, and the opposition was tower dive-happy. Alistar went in and ulted, but I Feasted him and he instadied. Derp! Even though I died, it quickly turned ugly for the other team, and the cleanup crew killed the other two people.

Hence forth from this day, LoL ceased to exist. At least, until people recode the server side game code.
Not sure if GP. Wat do?

Seen GP pwning all over the place, but I'd wait till next patch just in case he gets nerfed.
WillDaSnail Wrote:@SolicShooter: In defense, Josh is not being hard on him. In fact, Foopah needs that treatment, and this part will explain why.

To Foopah: You can cry all you want about us bagging on you. But I'm going to have to make this blunt since you're simply not budging:

Right now, you haven't been improving. In fact, last time I played with you, you simply committed a lot of mistakes and fed quite a bit. .
.(stuff)
.
If you want to prove us wrong, go ahead. Show me that I'm wrong. Show me, Josh, and everyone here that you're actually a decent player. But at this moment, you're not. Face it.

First of all, I never said I was crying. All I've said is bashing me doesn't help me become a better player. I only posted a topic about que-dodging initially because it seems as if it's a very popular thing to do with a lot of the highly-skilled players I play with. If that is setting a BAD example on to me, then don't blame me, blame them for talking about it and suggesting what kind of team compositions are bad and should be dodged.

Here's the .lrf file of our last game in question (I've reviewed it a few times to learn from the mistakes I did in the game): http://localhostr.com/file/7nEHjXu/repla...-14-12.lrf

If I was such a feeder, then why did I survive in my lane for so long? Also, my laning partner, Paralysis, told me flat out that he played Corki poorly in the beginning and that he hadn't played that Champion very much. I told him not to worry about it, that it's only a game. Perhaps I could have done things differently to help keep him alive, perhaps not. I did the best that I could under the circumstances, at the skill level I am at in this game. I'm sure someone who is way more experienced than I am would point out glaring mistakes that they would not commit themselves, yet, again, due to my experience level, I wouldn't know any better. I think I played fairly well, and honestly, I wish I could have somehow helped the team more, but I didn't have (and maybe still don't under similar circumstances) a clue as to how to do that. I'm not at a HotShotGG level. I would like to think I can aspire to be that good one day, but I know that won't happen over night.

As for budging, what am I supposedly budging on? I know I am a less skilled player than a lot of you on here, I've never claimed otherwise. 12 levels of playing hack'n'slash and not taking this game seriously like some of you have, has hurt me, this I know. I've stated that in previous posts as well. So is it because I didn't take this game seriously like you, it's open season on me to bash me like this? Really?

Say what? Who's doing this?

I queue dodge for the following reasons:
--Friends are yelling at me to join them. Single peeps may not work.
--Emergency, or something else has come up.
--Technical issues, either on my end or a friend's.

Now if you have a problem with me not playing with you guys, that's a different story. Most of the time, I'm either not there or I don't have the time to commit to a game.

Keep making excuses man. At least show some level of improvement while you're leveling up. Kind of sad that you're Level 30, but you're still playing where a level 20 should be. If its insulting, I'm sorry, but that's the bare-bone truth.

And plus in the game I played with you that one time, you made a lot of mistakes that led you to feed quite a bit in your lane. Survival is one thing, but losing your lane via mistakes - and feeding as a result - is entirely different.

Who says I was bashing you about queue dodging? Your response to Josh was pretty much unnecessary, and kind of shows who you really are. How effing rude and distasteful. And if things weren't bad enough, I laughed quite a bit at what you said about queue dodging.

Right now, you really need a wake up call. Your tl;dr post kind of just strenghtens my points about you. You never admit that something is wrong on your part, you point fingers instead. Which is what you did. Again. You really need to change your attitude about this. You can enjoy the game - as you see it - but if you're inconsiderate of others, that's a different story. Your enjoyment of LoL will go down the drain - and fast - if you don't change how you approach playing LoL.

And don't even effing bash us so-called skilled players here. At least we took the time to learn from our mistakes and improve upon it. That's how we become very good players (but not at the high ELO levels, contrary to your claim). You think your beating-under-the-belt argument will help you here?

Kaj has already talked to you about this already, and I'm sure you remember it. I'm giving you this the hard way because you need to open your eyes a bit. If you don't, tough luck. Enjoy getting bagged by people who will give you worse treatment if you perform quite horribly. You should be thankful I'm not ripping your head apart, because I do have the capability to do so; I suggest you do not test my patience because you WILL NOT win. Especially the fact that you're quite stubborn. (I'd get in trouble with the moderators here if I do so, and its NOT in my best interest to not step over boundaries).

I'm done. Its your choice to improve or not. But the end point is unless you improve (and prove me wrong), you're not going to enjoy much from us. In fact, you could be the butt of jokes amongst us. Not joking about that.
Calm down man >>
Sure he needs to improve, but this is kinda the equivalent of a parent yelling to a kid about how miserable they are as children. Sure sometimes kids need a bit of roughness from the parents, but what you're doing doesn't help in the slightest.

I'm not going mad on him. He deserves to know what's going on, and I'm giving him the bare-bone honesty here.

 PvP.net patch notes for tonight

(And lol @ the ungrateful jerks bashing Riot for the PvP.net patch instead of releasing Leona/hotfixing underpowered Yorick/etc)

And for some reason, my Nunu Bot (legendary) skin isn't working (in other words, I cannot "lock" it in with "Currently selected skin", and therefore cannot use it in matches). Any fixes?

Eh? I've never been in a game with you where you have dodged, and I don't consider you to be a dodger in any way. I'm talking about other 300+/400+ win players who play fairly consistently and well, who dodge bad team compositions (in normal games) and talk about it in chat. As for not joining in, not a big deal, though, I would like more games with you since you do help with advice. For not being around and time, it's not a big deal either, I'm not hounding you to join us (although it took me a few tries at invitation to remove people from the invite list so they don't keep getting pinged).

I don't think I've run into any SP'ers who que dodge from any games I've been invited to play in. I just seem to run into them (other non-sp'ers) on occasion when I'm in Premade 2/3/4's and they que-dodge and explain to me after logging back in why they did that. I don't judge, not my place to, I just accept it and move on. If is so bad, why do people do it and why is that option even available? Can anyone explain that?

lol, how would they disable it?

"No you may not close your game!"

If they allowed the game to continue anyways, people would be stuck in automatic 4 v 5s a lot of the time. Not a preferable situation.

I never said I am at the level of the # I am at currently. I've consistently said that I played BADLY for the first 12 levels (just to level, not caring about how the games outcome was, though if I got a win, it just meant I could level faster), hack'n'slash, so I know that my level of play isn't as good as someone who took this game seriously from the get-go. I've never made excuses about that. So, it's not insulting, it's the truth, and I'm very well aware of it. I am also aware of other level "30"s who play worse than I do from what people have told me from their experience in this game, and that I shouldn't worry about it so much, except to become more improved and not be "one of them". I'm a work in progress, only time and patience will give me the experience I need to become better.

WillDaSnail Wrote:And plus in the game I played with you that one time, you made a lot of mistakes that led you to feed quite a bit in your lane. Survival is one thing, but losing your lane via feeding is entirely different.

It was just one game, so, you judge people by just one game? So, instead of offering to HELP me improve, it's just easier to say that I suck and not tell me what I could have done differently? Thanks for the non-constructive criticism of my game-play, really.

WillDaSnail Wrote:Who says I was bashing you about queue dodging? Your response to Josh was pretty much unnecessary, and kind of shows who you really are. How effing rude and distasteful. And if things weren't bad enough, I laughed quite a bit at what you said about queue dodging.

Ok, so, you want me to admit that I am a bad player for admitting to something that other people do in this game. I'm a bad player, all, since, well, I am following by example and I shouldn't be. And no, I'm not being sarcastic, I'll cop to that in full. If by queue dodging I am bad, so be it, I'm bad. End of that discussion.

WillDaSnail Wrote:Right now, you really need a wake up call. Your tl;dr post kind of just strenghtens my points about you. I didn't point fingers, I merely wrote what happened in that game and uploaded the .LRF file for all to see. Maybe I could have played better to keep my lane partner alive, maybe not, I'm not at a level of play to be able to decide that. From my level of experience in this game, I feel like I did my best. If you see something otherwise, HELP me by pointing out things, don't keep going on about it and not cluing me in to what I could have done differently. If all you do is just criticize and not offer to help me improve, then why not keep your opinions to yourself?

WillDaSnail Wrote:And don't even effing bash us so-called skilled players here. At least we took the time to learn from our mistakes and improve upon it. How am I "bashing" the skilled players on here? I've admitted that there are better players on here than I am. How is that bashing? I believe that that is a compliment and a testament to the very good quality of players who are on SP.net who play LoL. You, Kaj, Josh, Claw, Manu, Purple, they are all better players than I am. I know this, and I would love to learn more if I can. I don't get it, how is that bashing?

Kaj tried to help me in the beginning, and I honestly didn't take the game seriously, so if he gave up on me because of that, it wouldn't surprise me and I wouldn't blame him for doing so (I am sure my level of play and experience just tested his patience just a bit). I only got on there to talk to him since he left GMS to potentially never return. Kaj was very instrumental in helping me put a lot of information together for the Paladins on Khaini when we were doing our group boss runs. His knowledge helped me craft a few guides that a lot of people still use to this day for that game. I also gave him the credit he deserves for helping me put those guides together. Without him, there would be no guides for me to write.

Fine, laugh at me, I'll voluntarily be the butt of jokes amongst you. I really don't care. I know who the people I play with who are supportive and offer to help me so I can become a better player, and to them, I thank them immensely. If no one else wants to help me improve, so be it, not my loss. I will find other players who will help me, and in time, I hope to be the best LoL player I can be.
