Comparing Notes on Cygnus Empress.
#1
Well we in Khaini had our first, full team, Empress run last night and I, and most of the squad, was pretty pleased with how it turned out. We took her down to 20%, then let her start summoning instructors. We handles the first fairly easy and the second wasnt TOO BAD either. (Yes, when the video is uploaded i'll post here). But this is where we ran into the issue and I was hoping i could get some tips/suggestions for our next attempt.
The problem was after we killed the 2nd instructor we couldnt get her to summon anymore. We lets her out of the left corner, tried her in the middle of the map and even moved her to the right corner. We tried leaving her uncrashed, we took her down to the point where she HEALED back hoping that would cause her to summon more. She just kept summoning Advanced kinghts and between that and that 50k+ full map attack she does it wore down the squads wheels.
I am hoping someone out there has any suggestions/tips on how to get past this block. I have done several searches and there just isnt much information out there on this subject.

i dont understand why you guys are so eager to let her summon.
Seems like you guys could have killed her if you hadnt let her heal and stuff, even if you didnt exploit the pinning glitch

We wanted to see if the kick was triggered by not having instructors summoned or if it was triggered by being on the left side. I personally just wanted to down her in the middle/right of the map to see what happened, because at least then we could have gotten death data rather than fighting instructors which we weren't prepared to do in the first place.

Why would you not just kill her? That makes zero sense. You had a chance to just learn more at worst.

Well from everything I have seen in videos, and based on what we experienced last night, you cant just KILL HER. I also dont believe that the programmers would of put in the 5 Instructors and Shinshoo summons in the PQ if they didnt intend on you having to kill them also to kill her. If you watch the Bello run video they went for, what appeared to me, a flat out LETS JUST KILL EMPRESS. You cant do enough damage fast enough it seems to take that approach, so there must be something else we are missing and thats why I made this post to hopefully generate some other ideas.

How far did you get her hp down? It sounds like that what the thing were missing here is like maybe when a quarter or less HP is left, she massive heals then summons?

Because you can't just kill her.
Once you get here to about 10% HP, she heals to about 50% HP.

They're trying to figure out what causes that to happen.

By leaving her at 20% HP. Yeah ok, that isn't a really solid way to gather fallacious information. This doesn't seem like any method that is in a good pursuit of solid deduction.

Sidenote: You can "just kill her" You get kicked. You should try different things until you've eliminated every possibility that isn't not using magic crash. Letting her live is a really bad way to figure out why you get expelled for killing her.

My theory is that magic crash does infact glitch her. I think most of what this boss does is directly triggered/scripted. MC messes with the triggers or patterns.

If killing all the instructors and shinsoo was necessary to make her stop healing, then why didn't that KMS run that showed she kicks you out...kick them out? She obviously didn't heal. They obviously didn't kill all the summons either because she didn't drop anything.

I'm near 99% sure there is no way to make her stop healing. We just need to keep unloading on her, but we need to not kill her on the left side regardless of how many instructors are killed if we want more useful information on how to get drops.

And how about sealing her a lot?

Like i said, it's probably triggered.

One thing i would try is A. Killing her in different places. B. Not using magic crash until X point in her health) C. Not using magic crash AFTER X point in her health. D. Not using magic crash during X-Y points in her health Z. And the LAST LAST thing i would try is not using Magic Crash. If there is a group that thinks they can kill without out, then by all means try it earlier.

Actually this isnt completely true. I think first i would go crashless entirely and note determine whether her triggers are from health loss or time. (i'd be about 1000 dollars the main ones are by HP loss with a possibility of some coming from time.) I would not do full expeditions for this. After doing that a few times I would test the result of crashing AROUND her triggers.

The Tespia run I was on didn't use crash and she summoned the first instructor fairly quickly. But then, she also damage-reflect killed half the party in the 2-3 minutes she was around (and without wheels or bishops, we couldn't revive once the instructor arrived).

That run also didn't push her to the side.

Bello's first run pinned her left and ran into that problem. She heals back to 50% every time she gets down to 15% or so. They kept taking her down 5 or 6 times before they gave up to see if it was a quantity of heals that she went through. Next run we pinned her right and she killed everyone when she got to about 80%. Mass death, I would say damage reflect except she even killed people who were not attacking (like bishops).

Does anyone know if her zombify is glitched and doesn't show the icon?

She zombified on our run and it showed.

She killed people who were on the other side of the map with her weird 50k attack. I was the only one not hit by it.

This.

It was like a wave emanating out from here. Those closer to hit got hit with 50k's then those further away, like me and others in the ranged party were hit. It happened when we were trying to get her to summon an instructor, so she wasn't glitch kb'd to the left.
