I hate it when they can't even be assed to use Wikipedia. Even if you're reporting on stuff like this, you should reporting something approaching the truth...

EDIT: Wait, now that I've watched all of it... THEY HAD SOMEONE EXPLAIN HOW IT WORKS AND THEY STILL CALLED IT A HOLOGRAM?

also, manja

Epic fail pronunciation.

FFS. Even if you don't know the damn language, at least do some research on how it's pronounced if you're going to say it. Especially if you're a newscaster.

God. Embarrassing themselves on television.

He should be proud he can't pronounce it.

Proud to have embarrassed himself on television, and now the entire world via the internet?

Sure.

I'm proud of him too.

Seriously, if I were him, I'd go hang myself right this instant.

Embarrassed himself? Not knowing how to pronounce MANGA isn't embarrassing.

See new word.
Learn to pronounce.

Not so difficult.

I understand it's not wrong or particularly embarrassing to pronounce it wrongly, but the fact that he didn't even bother to check its pronunciation and ended up pronouncing it wrongly on television (and now the internet) is.

I wouldn't bother either. The only people who care about this are people who I don't care about and who he definitely wouldn't.

Care or not, it's not good journalism.

This. Putting sarah's biasness aside, mispronouncing something like this is pretty stupid. Let's say an earthquake hit a country, and they kept mispronouncing the country's name. Should that be "okay" just because not too many people care about the country?

Because showing respect for the language and culture of another country is completely pointless.

Also, lol @anon and MANJA.

Mexicans, when you move to the USA you should learn the official language of the country! Oh wait, we don't have any.

But seriously, I don't condone on the mexicans who refuse to learn english or want to have spanish instructions everywhere either. But here it's a question of minimal effort compared to learning a new language completely.
