Sell me an XBOX 360
#1
I mean figuratively. Give me reasons to buy one, because I kind of want to for Tales of Vesperia which shows no signs of coming to the PS3 in North America but it's going to take more than that to actually make the sale.

Things to note:

I don't play FPS
I don't play sports games
Don't bother mentioning anything I can buy on the PS3 because chances are I either already own it or would buy it on the PS3 because it is superior (not really into 8 disc games, thanks)

So, what's good on the 360?

Honestly, I'd rather import the jap version for ps3 than buying a failbox.

I play RPGs in part for the story so not understanding what is being said kind of defeats the purpose.

Assassins Creed looks better on the x360! Tongue

Is that really the best you can do?

Also two more things

Not looking to hear from Playstation fans. I'm already one, I don't need further convincing.

And though I said I don't play FPS, that doesn't include over-the-shoulder shooters like Resident Evil 4/5, which I do enjoy.

check this list:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_360_games

see if any game call your attention, maybe the xbox exclusive games. but really I would just wait, if you only play RPG, most of RPG released for xbox are available for PS3 too.

I have played on both console already, and the difference is minimal, the xbox controller is better to do movement and stuff, I hate the PS3 -still-ps1-controller type.

Oh and the good thing about xbox is, insert the DVD and play, while on ps3, most of the games you have to install and wait to play or the annoying-almost-every-week firmware updates(xbox barely have firmware updates).

gear of war and halo are good games, and they are exclusive for xbox.

The point of this thread is that I don't want to look through a list of games to find out what could possibly be good. I want first-hand answers from people whose opinions I (may) respect. Also the Dual Shock is the best controller of all time so I'm not sure what you're saying there. I've used every official controller (XBox for brief periods) and nothing compares to the comfort and ease-of-use available via the playstation controller.

Again, stop trying to trash the PS3. I'm not looking for this to be a competitive thing. The PS3 doesn't have that many firmware updates and install times are all relatively slow and in the end they make games run better with no load times. 5 minutes of install is worth it.

The features of the xbox don't come close to comparing to those of the ps3 as far as I'm concerned. I'm not going to own an XBL account because I think that paying for a service like that is almost a sin. Online features should be free. I mean, it would be one thing if they offered you their entire game library for free with the subscription but that's not the case. Having to pay just to get online is retarded.

I just want to know about good games. Not just RPGs, anything that may be interesting, save FPS and sports games.

I think the best feature on x-box is how desperate they want you to keep it. I can't tell you how many stories of my friends getting that ring of death, calling, for the fourth time, screaming at the guy and they offered them 3 games as compensation, a long with replacing the system.

The only reason to buy a 360 is the superior multiplayer or the exclusives

I didn't try to trash ps3, like i said, i played both, and imo, I find the xbox controller better than the ps3, I have a xbox controller for my computer too. some people like the ps3 controller, others like the xbox controller.

both consoles are good, I love the ps3 move, I go to my cousin house just to play the move there, and I hate with a passion the xbox kinect, i feel like a crazy person jumping around the house while playing it lol.

I just don't like how on ps3, some games take forever to load while on xbox its almost instant.

and like i said, almost every xbox game is available for ps3, so idk what game you maybe be interested that is xbox exclusive, since they are all the same.

and if you don't wanna pay for the xbox live, then don't buy a xbox, almost everything good you get online with the DLC;

The only thing i have my xbox for is the prospect of hacking it just to say i did. All the games are uninteresting/suck and paying for online is retarded.

We have a better online experience and arcade. Hands down, if you think you crap is better you're in denial.

- Fable Franchise
- Tales of Vesperia (Like you said)
- Infinite Undiscovery (I've had friends play it and they like it)
- Splinter Cell Conviction (Third person)
- Banjo and Kazooie Franchise
- Left 4 Dead Franchise (is fun, regardless of it being an FPS)
- Kinect (It's a hell of a lot cheaper to get the "full" Kinect experience than it is to get the "full" move experience, and it's fun to use)
- Alan Wake Franchise
- Gears of War Franchise (Third person)
- Crackdown Franchise (Third person)
- N3 Franchise
- Lips Franchise (Very fun singing party game)
- Viva Pinata Franchise (I've heard only good things about these games, regardless of how silly they look)
- Kameo Franchise

Also, Xbox 360's game graphics are generally better than the PS3's. The only time they aren't is when space is an issue, and honestly these days it really isn't. When people peach about multiple disks it makes me laugh, can you really not get off your fat ass to change the disk every 3+ hours? Oh an, paying for Xbox Live is a joke, you can get it for $35 on Amazon every so often, and really, is $35 too much that you have to peach about it? Instead of buying a shitty game, rent it.

Yes, but finding the synopsis online can't be that hard. Of course, you will miss out on some minor things like jokes and stuff though. Still not worth to buy a console just to catch one or two tidbits in one game, unless you are a real fangirl. I would for example, buy any console at basically any price for the fabled remake of Final Fantasy 7.

I've played Fable and it is awful and I've heard Infinite Undiscovery is pretty bad too.

"Arcade"? Most games that are available on XBL are also available on the PSN. Plus the PSN has lots of amazing exclusives. I think saying the XBL arcade is better and anyone who says differently is "in denial" is pretty ignorant and possibly deluded. I don't know much about the online experience but I do know that I don't really care about multiplayer in the first place so it really isn't a selling point for me.

Also Kinect is the dumbest fucking pomegranate ever so leave that out of here, please.

Also also isn't Banjo 3 (the only exclusive one) completely different from the other two? I mean, from what I've seen it's basically a glorified "Tycoon" game, now. Am I wrong?

What is N3? and Kameo?

I'm not buying party games.

Your entire last paragraph is a joke.

It's not about having to get off my "fat ass", it's about it being a constant annoyance. Most games that have multiple discs make you go back and forth between discs for certain parts. We live in 2011, this shouldn't even be an option. What's worse is that you made it sound like having to change discs EVERY THREE HOURS is somehow a joy or, you know, not a complete turn off. Which it is. It doesn't matter who you are, who the pineapple wants to change a disc every 3 hours? Seriously.

Not wanting to pay for an XBOX live account is a matter of principle--I could easily afford it. But, I can get the same service on the PS3 for free, there's no damn reason for Microsoft to be charging and obscene amount like $50 a year ($35 apparently if you SCOUR THE INTERNET FOR A DEAL.) Especially if they're not giving you anything good for buying it besides the ability to compare your stats with friends. You should either be paying for the account and unlimited access to free games or have a free account with pay-to-play access to games. That's all there is to it. You know how much of that money game developers see? None. They give away the service to their customers for free and Microsoft puts up a toll booth before you can access it. That's pretty fucking scummy. It's like, I don't know, your favourite author/musician giving away autographs for free and then the book/CD store charging you an entry fee.

I think that that final sentence is the worst, though. A person should pay for a service and rent games to use with that service? Do you not see how ridiculous the very idea of that is? We should sacrifice something permanent for something temporary? I mean, it's not like that $50/35 is going to last you forever--it's gone in a year. At least when you buy a "shitty" game you can still play it in a year, or ten years.

Paying out the ass for a temporary service that should be free and sacrificing other things for it? Sounds like a great deal.

honestly, i have a PS3, i have played an X-box, anything that would interest me on the xbox, is already on the PS3, i am bashing on both systems here before anyone starts peaching, both are good consoles, but they are too similar in what they offer, honestly, i would recommend you do the same thing me and my pals do, i give them the PS3/Wii and a game they want to beat, they give me the X-Box to play.

so far only game the xbox has that ps3 doesn't that i liked was halo, and all the games i have for ps3 are available on the xbox too.

For the 360 I have:

FF13
Assassin's creed 1, 2, brotherhood (will soon be getting the 4th game, upon release)
Tales of Vesperia (original version)
Prince of Persia

That's it for now.
