Poll: Is it ok to urinate in the shower?

This has never been a problem for me, maybe because I shower in around 5 minutes. Though if I had to do it, I still wouldn't.

If I have to pee before the shower, I'll do it in the toliet. Otherwise, I cut my shower short and pee in the toliet and then head back into the shower. . .

So, if a bird pooped on you, you wouldn't wash it off in the shower, because then it would get the shower water all dirty and swirling around your feet with who knows what deadly filth in them?

Reminds me of an old joke about this person who threw a candy wrapper in a trash bin in Switzerland, and had a cop chase him down for "soiling our clean trash bin".

The shower is for getting people clean. It uses water and soap to wash dirt off your body and down the drain. That certainly includes water-based fluids such as urine.

I'm not voting. It's not okay but it's not a big issue either.
If you're the only one who uses that shower and it's once in a life time emergency I'd say go ahead. It's just pee anyway.
I've done it when it's an emergency.
I hate it when it happens in the middle of your bath. You either go out and get the floor/toilet/whatever all wet because of the water dripping or you take the time to dry up with towels, do your thing, get back inside and finish. Both suck... so I prefer to pee in the shower when it's an emergency and I MUST do it.

If someone said to me that's completly normal and that he/she prefer peeing in the shower just because and that he/she does so often I'd be disgusted.

Urine is sterile, additionally it has mild antiseptic properties that kill germs.
But meh to me it's not a big issue and not really something i think about, but it's not something i do myself either. It has happened in emergencies.

I do it when I'm alone but I would never do it if there's someone in my house, specially a guest.

If it's your own shower that only you use I guess why not? You're not hurting anyone else. Although it's probably a bad habit to develop.

Water doesn't just go toward the drain while the shower is running. It swishes around a lot, and even if you hit the drain there's good chance that some of that will come back your way.

Most disgusting concept ever. Urine belongs nowhere near the water that you are cleaning yourself with. I don't care how accurate you are. The toilet is, probably, right outside the shower. Use it.

Personally, I take 15+ minute showers with lots of hot water. Yeah, i'm a bit of a glutton. Of course I pee in the toilet if I notice it but when i've been in the shower for 10 minutes and the hot water has gotten to me, yes I will aim at the drain and be done with it. As said earlier, urine is in fact sterile, it's definitely not feces. If you're taking a shower properly, and washing yourself completely, even if you did get some of it on you (more applicable to women) you'll wash it off anyway.

I'm not asking if peeing in the shower is an acceptable substitute to peeing in the toilet. I think we can all agree the toilet is the proper utility. However, if the urge suddenly pops up, yeah I pee in the shower.

The point of the shower is to get clean. Standing in your own urine defeats the purpose. And no matter how deadly accurate you are, some of that urine is coming back your way.
