Maple TV

Ugh, I wish I could post on the Nexon forums but I'm still IP banned so hopefully I can get something rolling here and have it move there.

Since Big Bang, and actually a while before that, Maple TVs have been lagging the hell out of towns. It wasn't as noticeable before big bang but now it's to the point where I can't move if I enter a town. I know other people suffer from the dreaded town lag as well. I wouldn't even suggest this if I knew it was any source of real revenue for Nexon but NO ONE USES THE ASSOCIATED CASH SHOP ITEMS. Their only purpose is to lag up towns.

I'm not posting this here to rant, I'm posting it as a minor call to action. I would like for some people to request Nexon remove these god forsaken items from the game because they're not doing anything positive for them or us. This is one of the main reasons I don't bother playing anymore -- I can't do jack when it matters.

Anyone else suffering from town lag, even if it's just a little, I implore you to bring this to Nexon's attention. At the very least,, removing them will be easier on your computer.

My FPS in towns is usually 60 but at Leafre it's 50. Only in Leafre though.

And have you updated your flash player recently?
Maple TV animation is in flash, I believe. Or at least it was, a long time ago.

Orbis is the worst town in the world to be in. I lag every step i take there.

The worst idea they got ever is putting one in fm entrance. I can't even enter it on ch 1 because my game freeze instantly...

Maybe it is Cassandra? I lag near the centre of towns which is where she tends to be but I can't imagine why she would lag so much.

Either way, I was just in Ardentmill with A HUNDRED other people and not a touch of lag, then went to Leafre and it took me 20 minutes (no exaggeration) to get seeds.

Cassandra is an evil witch. I think event NPCs not used in an update should be removed until the next server check/patch that requires them. (Gaga/Cassandra).

I suffer from this huge drop on framerate when using my old laptop. It's terrible, like 5 fps or so.

I'd like to know what causes it as well... I know that Ardentmill doesn't lag at all while some towns like Orbis are impossible to navigate through.

Just a list if a Nexon employee reads this:

Towns I Lag In That I Remember:
- Ludi (occasionally)
- Orbis
- Amoria
- Time you see the "evil witch" which is stated above.
- A drop in framerate near Maple TVs (but not as bad as next to Cassandra)

They should just remove maple TV period, or at least use it for something else.

Malay is too fruity. Only cool part is the Ghost Ship because it reminds me old New Orleans steam boats and Ulu is pretty nice. The bgm is cool and monsters are okay.

Agree that no one looks at Maple TV but things tend to go bad when Nexon NA handles it( no offence but that's what i feel from complaints here and there).
Well, I don't recall any complains about Cassandra or Maple TV in MSEA which involves FPS dropping, the only Maple TV related error we faced here was the I-DC-YOU Maple TV issue or it just become completely green (both can be fixed by simply reinstalling and only last about a patch or two) and it was last year.

Move Gaga, Cassandra and all that jazz to a event-map similar to the FM. Removes the asinine clutter from all the towns, gives you a central place that FOR SURE has them [I'm looking at you pre-BB singapore, NLC]. Maple TVs are pointless because of avatar SMegas, remove them or give users an option to disable it.
Maybe have an NPC in said idea-map that DETAILS EACH NEW EVENT so I can stop repeating myself to the people who refuse to goddamn read.
